We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs and/or computer images of designated portions of the body, under the direction of a radiologist and the supervision of a department supervisor. While this is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility, you will play a critical role in maintaining our premier level of quality, in support of a world-class clinical team. This is a evening shift position working 3p-11p Monday-Friday w/ alternate weekends and assigned holidays.

Job Summary and Qualifications
The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application of ionizing radiation in accordance with the established professional and departmental standards. The CT Tech provides high-quality computerized tomography images of the used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. What you will do in this role:
You will compassionately assist and position patients on CT table.
You will start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary.
You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
You will release customer with proper post procedure instructions.
You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
What qualifications you will need:
Graduate of an accredited program by the commission on accreditation of allied health education programs, American Medical Association or other accrediting agencies.
American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible with completion of examination within 6 months of hire to maintain employment.
Advanced CT Registry must be successfully completed within 6 months of registry eligibility.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
Minimum of one year hospital department experience in Diagnostic Radiology and or completion of accredited Radiology program with clinical experience Minimum of one year is hospital CT department preferred.
Able to accurately complete radiology examinations as ordered by the referring physicians.
Experience with Radiology information systems to obtain previous examination reports.
Strong interpersonal skills related to being able to communicate effectively, competently and confidently with all individuals (various types of customers, facility colleagues, etc.).
Able to handle periods of intensity with calm.
Able to work in stressful situations while maintaining composure and perform required Imaging Services duties regardless of the patient's condition.
On Call Required and must have the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.

Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Radiology Tech, you will:
* Work with all clinic staff to ensure efforts are coordinated and that patients receive high quality care and services. Provides care to patients in a timely manner.
* Perform all x-ray views according to provider's orders, clinical practice under state law and in compliance with company policy and procedures. * Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, x-rays, and lab work sent out to other labs. Perform equipment audits as scheduled. Ensure the occupational client's work form is followed and occupational procedures are adhered to.
* Work closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
* Follow all company policies pertaining to infection control and hand hygiene.
* May be required to work alternate shifts and may be required to float to other clinic locations.
You Should Have:
* Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.
* 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred.
* Registered Radiologic Technologist, ARRT Certification required. State licensure may be required.
* BLS certification within 30 days of start required.

I. JOB SUMMARY
The responsibility of the Radiology Technologist includes empathetic and instructional approach to patient care, the preparation, operation of imaging, collection data using computers, necessary imaging devices and care of instrumentation, patient physical safety and radiation safety. The Radiology Technologist performs a variety of exams without and with contrast enhancement at the direction of the Radiologist and Radiology protocols. The Radiology Technologist aids other departments by operating radiology equipment for procedures in other areas of the hospital. The technologist must adhere to State Licensure scope of practice and medical staff approved protocols.
II. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports the mission of Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Explains procedures to patient/family accurately and to customer satisfaction.
Maintains all equipment appropriately Utilizes appropriate equipment and supplies to perform exams or aide in performance of diagnostic procedures that comply with the states scope of practice.
Communicates professionally and effectively with all customers.
Assists the Radiologist as needed for completion of procedures.
Adheres to standard of care outline for customers in policy and procedures as the Medical Director of Imaging Services.
Maintains certifications, licensure and job related/accreditation competencies and requirements.
Performs patient examinations proficiently, efficiently and safely.
Maintains confidentiality of all customers.
Completes ordered exams and assembles data in folder to be read by the Radiologist/Physician.
Generates exam charges in Radiology computer system.
Utilizes resources to provide the best standard of care for patients in Imaging Services.
Acts as patient's advocate prior, during and following exams.
Maintains accurate patient records and documents pertinent data and patient information completely.
Reviews patient history and obtains appropriate order.
Confidently perform all types of diagnostic radiology exams with emphasis on patient care.
Utilize knowledge of positioning and techniques.
Obtains resources to provide the patient with diagnostic imaging while adhering to ALARA.
Utilize appropriate equipment and supplies to perform surgical exams, diagnostic exams and/or in aiding the radiologist with exams requiring contrast/barium.
Performs care according to the population served on the unit as referenced in the Administrative, Scope of Services Policy.

Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control.
Completes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed. Performs office work including, but not limited to, answering phone, obtaining information from computer, and ordering departmental supplies.
Provides a positive image to customers by creating a friendly atmosphere and placing a high priority on meeting customer needs in a courteous manner. Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.

Assist in training students and/or new staff.

Persons first employed by the Federal Government as radiologic personnel after the effective date of the regulation who (a) received training from institutions in a State or foreign jurisdiction that did not accredit training in that particular field at the time of graduation, or (b) practiced in a State or foreign jurisdiction that did not license that particular field or did not allow special eligibility to take a licensure examination for those who did not graduate from an accredited educational program, provided that such persons show evidence of training, experience, and competence as determined by OPM or the employing agency. Specialized Experience: Experience in the operation of diagnostic radiology equipment under the direction of radiologists or other medical officers to produce radiographic studies used in medical diagnosis and treatment. **Job Summary and Qualifications**
As a Radiology Tech, you will:
+ Work with all clinic staff to ensure efforts are coordinated and that patients receive high quality care and services. Provides care to patients in a timely manner.
+ Perform all x-ray views according to provider's orders, clinical practice under state law and in compliance with company policy and procedures. Document the patient record according to established clinical practice and company policies and procedures. Perform drug screens, urinalysis and other in-house lab tests accurately. Process specimens for reference labs.
+ Help support front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
+ Maintain, calibrate and perform controls on lab/x-ray equipment daily. Inspects and reports artifacts from the x-ray screen. Operate equipment according to policy and manufacturer guidelines. Complete semi-annual X-Ray inspections.
+ Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, x-rays, and lab work sent out to other labs. Perform equipment audits as scheduled. Ensure the occupational client's work form is followed and occupational procedures are adhered to.
+ Work closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
+ Follow all company policies pertaining to infection control and hand hygiene.
+ May be required to work alternate shifts and may be required to float to other clinic locations.
You Should Have:
+ Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.
+ 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred.
+ Registered Radiologic Technologist, ARRT Certification required. State licensure may be required.
+ BLS certification within 30 days of start required.
+ Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
+ Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start.

JOB SUMMARY
The responsibility of the Radiology Technologist at OrthoKansas includes empathetic and instructional approach to patient care, the preparation, operation of imaging, collection data using computers, necessary imaging devices and care of instrumentation, patient physical safety and radiation safety. The Radiology Technologist performs a variety of exams at the direction of the Radiologic MSL physician and Radiology protocols of the clinic. The Radiology Technologist aids other departments by operating radiology equipment for procedures performed as part of the MSL. The technologist must adhere to State Licensure scope of practice and medical staff approved protocols.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports the mission of the MSL and LMH Health Explains procedures to patient/family accurately and to customer satisfaction.
Maintains all equipment appropriately
Utilizes appropriate equipment and supplies to perform exams or aide in performance of diagnostic procedures that comply with the states scope of practice.
Communicates professionally and effectively with all customers.
Assists the MSL physician as needed for completion of procedures.
Adheres to standard of care outline for customers in policy and procedures.
Maintains certifications, licensure and job related/accreditation competencies and requirements.
Performs patient examinations proficiently, efficiently and safely.
Maintains confidentiality of all customers.
Completes ordered exams and assembles data in folder to be read by the MSL physician and /or Radiologist.
Generates exam charges in Radiology computer system.
Utilizes resources to provide the best standard of care for patients in Imaging Services.
Acts as patient's advocate prior, during and following exams.
Maintains accurate patient records and documents pertinent data and patient information completely.
Reviews patient history and obtains appropriate order.
Confidently perform all types of diagnostic radiology exams with emphasis on patient care.
Utilize knowledge of positioning and techniques.
Obtains resources to provide the patient with diagnostic imaging while adhering to ALARA.
Utilize appropriate equipment and supplies to perform surgical exams, diagnostic orthopedic exams and/or in aiding the MSL physician with minor procedures as needed.
Performs care according to the population served on the unit as referenced in the Administrative, Scope of Services Policy.
Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

The Radiology Technologist operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. Must be a graduate of an AMA accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology.
