Duties and Responsibilities: Provide peer tutoring assistance to Hocking College students. Collaboration: Coordinate with lead instructors in the applicable subject areas. Correspondence: Check and respond to emails in a timely manner. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, including the time and topics covered. Other duties as assigned: Other duties may include assisting students with accessing course materials, referring students to other campus services, and assisting the instructor with course related activities. III. Qualifications - Education, Experience, and Skills Full-time enrollment. Meets satisfactory academic status. Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. Minimum B grade in the course/subject to be tutored. Recommendation from an instructor in the course/subject to be tutored. English tutors must have completed English 1510 (or equivalent) with an A. Strong subject knowledge in content being tutored. Ability to listen and engage positively. Ability to answer and explain the questions/subject matter clearly. Ability to engage students for discussion. Basic computer skills/literacy. Promptness and dependability. Takes initiative and works independently. Motivated by student success and able to motivate students to come to tutoring.
