A Commissioning Engineer 2 within db HMS will have the capacity to expand our team, lead projects, and
mentor entry-level engineers while they analyze buildings and how integrated components operate.
Commissioning is a Quality Assurance process of monitoring a design as it evolves, testing the as-built
building enclosures and equipment, and monitoring the building systems operation and energy use. Every
building is a prototype, never assembled before, that needs to be analyzed and tested to see if it
functions as the designers and owner intended. The job requires both office work and fieldwork such as
reviewing drawings, writing test procedures, and putting the building through its paces, testing its
systems, and recording the results. This role has a major impact on the sustainable performance of
buildings by ensuring they perform as designed to reduce energy use and carbon footprint, impacting
global sustainability.
Essential Job Functions
• Technical
o Apply knowledge of engineering to understand systems in building designs
o Understand building codes and apply information from them to proposed plans
o Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure engineering quality and accurate technical
content of project documents

What You'll Do

10+ years of experience in automation design, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Expertise in industrial controls, robotics, motion control, and vision systems
Hands-on programming experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs and HMI/SCADA platforms (FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Ignition, Wonderware)
Familiarity with Six Sigma DMAIC and structured problem-solving
Experience with AGV/AMR systems, servo systems, and conveyance automation
Knowledge of Industry 4.0, MES interfaces, and IoT integration

Overview
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Experiences Team. This team builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify's product experience across platforms. What You'll Do
Collaborate with Speechify's Product Teams to scope projects, find ways to reduce scope to get faster feedback from customers, navigate the integration/UX tradeoffs relevant to different product teams, and deliver solutions via our cross-platform SDK
Optimize existing functionality to ship things like faster loading and more intelligent parsing by designing more efficient abstractions and improving our algorithms

This position will be responsible for a variety of electrical maintenance, design, project management, and engineering functions plant-wide for electrical equipment including new equipment installation as well as existing substation and plant power distribution.
Duties and responsibilities:
Lead employees in following all safety regulations. Ensure that all company safety practices and procedures are adhered to and all employees are adequately trained to perform their various job assignments in a safe and efficient manner.
Develop and enforce safety procedures and safe work practices to ensure the safety of employees and contractors in the performance of assigned work.
Ensure that the area meets or exceeds all safety objectives, including JSA/SOPs, safety meetings, required monthly inspections, housekeeping and other safety deliverables to continually drive safety improvements
Supervise and lead by example in following the company's goals and values, enforcing policies and procedures, assist with recruiting, training, performance evaluations, employee skill development, discipline, retention and succession planning.
Supervise and assist managing electrical distribution/Utility systems. Distribution systems include applicable transformers, breakers, air switches, load centers, reactors, rectifiers, pole mounted equipment, underground cabling, etc.
Supervise and manage high voltage incoming to the plant. Work with electrical power supplier on incoming transmission lines, transformers, distribution systems, etc.
Perform system studies to ensure proper coordination of system relays, monitor load flows and modify system components to avoid overloads. Explore and implement better technology, equipment and methods to reduce outages, equipment failures, operating costs and unsafe conditions.
Plan, coordinate and perform all high/medium voltage distribution switching, transferring loads, paralleling services, etc., as required
Create, maintain, and monitor high/medium voltage preventive maintenance program including oil sampling of large Transformers.
Develop and manage various capital projects from conception to completion.
Provide 24/7 maintenance response coverage for any Power Issues related to the operation of the Facility.
Qualifications: Competencies, Education and Experience:
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5 years working with the electrical maintenance or design and engineering in industrial manufacturing environment.
Experience working with multiple contractors on medium to large sized projects
