The Work:
Team with clients on their SAP functional transformation programs through your combined SAP application and functional process expertise which includes your ability to:
Engage with senior client Finance executives on the business challenges/trends and the potential value of SAP solutions (current & future)
Lead customers in defining their SAP journey through the development of business cases & roadmaps including during sales origination, proposal development and client presentations
Architect e2e Finance solutions that leverage SAP technologies, custom apps, & add on partner solutions
Clearly explain SAP's Business AI strategy, including an understanding of its capabilities and roadmap. Identify functional areas expertise where AI can deliver real value to clients
Experience in deployment of AI use cases within SAP delivery to improve efficiency and ability to explain how these AI-driven improvements can enhance project delivery
Advise, design and deliver Finance solutions based on the latest industry and technology best practices leveraging a SAP solutions and embedded innovation.

Here's what you need:
Minimum of 7 years of SAP Functional and Technical expertise in Finance, including but not limited to: GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting.
Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP projects supporting Retail/Grocery clients (SAP support / managed services experience will not be considered for this requirement)
Minimum of 3 end-to-end SAP S/4 implementations, including project planning, estimation and solution architecture for Retail/Grocery clients
Experience managing SAP delivery teams, in a Global Delivery Model, including but not limited to the following responsibilities: driving complex workshops and leading design decisions, as well as leading the design and execution of system build, configuration, testing, cutover, and go-live
Prior experience in an Advisory and/or Consulting role
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate's Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience

Position Overview
RedTire is a KU School of Business venture designed to enhance the economic well-being of Kansas and the surrounding states. The program finds the most suitably qualified candidate buyers to match with a successful small- to medium-sized business to prevent the shuttering of business due to a lack of owner successor. RedTire assists in successfully transitioning the business to new ownership and relies on University of Kansas (KU) student interns during the financial analysis and valuation modelling part of the process.
The KU student analyst's first objective is to provide assistance to the RedTire Director so that quality business and technical consulting assistance to RedTire clients is provided. Secondly, the aim of the role is to also provide an excellent experimental learning opportunity to the KU student. They will work on 'live real-world' case scenarios to successfully transition a business from a retiring owner, by redefining their retirement, to a new, younger owner who will acquire their business. The position works on-site at Capitol Federal Hall and will receive $10.25 per hour during the initial training period. Ideal candidates will continue in the role for multiple semesters and receive increasing wage adjustments for returning semesters, commensurate with performance.

The FinancialAnalyst - Engineering I & Capital Projects supports Summit Utilities' Engineering organization by providing financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and planning for major capital initiatives. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that financial data is accurate, actionable, and aligned with business objectives. The position involves analyzing and projecting financial impacts of management decisions, preparing capital and operational reports, supporting rate case filings, and communicating insights to senior management and cross-functional partners.
The FinancialAnalyst - Engineering I & Capital Projects also contributes to process improvements by developing automated financial models and dashboards that enhance capital project tracking, financial visibility, and decision-making efficiency.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports, dashboards, and presentations that summarize Engineering's capital expenditures, forecasts, and budget performance.
Analyze capital project costs and variances, explaining budget-to-actual differences and trends to leadership.
Develop financial models to forecast spending and evaluate investment decisions related to construction, infrastructure, and maintenance projects.
Support rate case data requests by compiling financial documentation and validating accuracy of supporting schedules.
Capital Planning & Forecasting
Partner with engineering and operations leaders to build, track, and forecast capital project budgets.
Ensure accurate capture and allocation of project costs within enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Assist with annual capital budget development and long-range planning.
Provide data-driven recommendations that improve resource utilization and capital efficiency.
Management Reporting & Board Support
Prepare financial materials for the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team, including scorecard reporting, project summaries, and key performance metrics.
Assist in preparing supporting schedules and financial analyses for strategic initiatives and special projects.
Collaboration & Business Partnership
Serve as a financial liaison between Engineering, Regulatory, Property Accounting, and Financial Planning.
Provide financial insight to project managers and engineers to ensure fiscal responsibility and adherence to capital budgets.
Communicate complex financial information clearly to both technical and non-financial audiences.
Process Improvement & Automation
Streamline manual reporting processes through automation and use of Power BI, Excel, and other analytics tools.
Develop and document standardized financial procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Lead initiatives to enhance visibility and transparency into project financials across departments.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
0-2 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or capital planning.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for financial reporting and data visualization.
Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.

About the Role
We are seeking a FinancialAnalyst, Fulfillment & Operations Finance to join our Fulfillment and Distribution team in Gardner, KS. This role plays a critical part in driving operational and financial excellence across our fulfillment network. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance and supporting the VP of Operations, you will act as a trusted finance partner to operational and functional leaders, delivering insights that guide key business decisions in a high-volume, fast-moving environment.
This position combines financial analysis, business partnership, and operational insight. You'll develop and maintain financial models, evaluate performance metrics, and help drive initiatives that improve cost efficiency, productivity, and employee performance across fulfillment and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
Business Finance Support
Lead and execute budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning processes across departments.
Use strong financial acumen to build models and analyses that inform decision-making and improve cost, efficiency, and throughput.
Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and departmental leaders to align financial objectives with operational performance.
Proactively identify and implement process improvements that automate, standardize, or simplify financial and business tools.
Provide financial and operational recommendations to business leaders, challenging assumptions when necessary.
Drive performance visibility through daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards and deep-dive analytics.
Operational & Strategic Analysis
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across fulfillment and distribution operations, including labor utilization, cost per order, shipping efficiency, and capacity optimization.
Develop scenario and sensitivity models to assess the impact of business decisions, process changes, and network initiatives.
Support labor planning and workforce optimization as part of strategic initiatives across fulfillment operations.
Deliver monthly reporting packages with variance explanations, operational commentary, and forward-looking recommendations.
Controllership & Data Integrity
Own financial reporting for assigned business areas, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency.
Identify and resolve complex data integrity issues, maintaining high standards of controllership.
Develop scalable, auditable data processes and reporting tools to support ongoing business growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Build strong partnerships across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and HR to ensure alignment between financial outcomes and operational goals.
Participate in production meetings, business reviews, and project planning sessions to connect financial insight with operational execution.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related analytical field (MBA or CPA preferred).

Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets and deliver actionable insights.

Overview
The Junior FinancialAnalyst will have a hybrid of tasks that revolve around preparing billing to clients and assisting with various accounting support functions throughout the month. This position will maintain responsibility for invoicing to a variety of clients for a variety of project managers, so professional communication (both written and oral) as well as an ability to interact with various personnel with expansive backgrounds is required. On the Accounting side, this position may maintain responsibility for such tasks as: monthly journal entries and assisting with variance analysis and reporting during our month end close cycle. The incumbent should be familiar with standard accounting concepts, practices and procedures and be able to apply these daily to ensure accurate and detailed reports for assigned responsibilities. This role requires accuracy and attention to detail.
Creates, reviews, and distributes Daily Cost Estimates (DCEs) to aid project managers in making decisions as they manage projects to completion
Produces accurate invoices to be sent to clients in accordance with departmental protocols and timelines
Responds to client inquiries regarding billing, maintains accounting, client, and invoicing records
Assists in month end close process to include journal entries and variance analysis
Ensures effective communication with both internal employees and external clients
Performs accounting support tasks and other duties as requested by Manager of Finance and Controller
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required. (May consider relevant experience in exchange for degree)
