Estimates then may be used by disaster impacted clients to apply for other community resources for repairs. May provide coordination of volunteer labor group with contractor to ensure appropriate sequence of repairs placing emphasis on assisting the elderly, person with a disable, and disable veterans. Qualifications ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Formulate repair estimates for damage directly caused by the declared disaster. Consult with clients, vendors and comparable estimates to formulate repair estimates for the family. Receive, enter, and manage times and submissions. Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors. Coordinate with Disaster Case Manager in dealing with the client. Coordinate with the client to ensure they are satisfied with the estimate and understand what the estimate is saying. Visit site and record information about access, drainage and topography, and availability of services such as water and electricity. Other duties as assigned.
