How You'll Do It: Strategy & Planning * Collaborate across all IT practice areas to ensure smooth and reliable operation of systems and infrastructure that fulfills technical and business objectives and processes. * Work with IT senior leadership to define enterprise tactical and strategic objectives to develop infrastructure roadmaps. * Collaborate cross-functionally to create and execute a plan for cloud migration, as well as the implementation and utilization of cloud tools & technologies. * Establish and execute a tactical plan to achieve roadmap initiatives in support of the company's strategic goals. * Conduct research to prioritize ongoing support of and continuous improvement of platforms. * Recruit, develop and retain infrastructure engineering talent. * Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to procure resources and technology solutions to meet strategic objectives. * Accountable for managing the budget for the Hybrid-Infrastructure cost center. Acquisition & Deployment * Design and deploy new platforms and enhancements to existing platforms, software, and operating systems in a hybrid cloud environment. * Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions. * Conduct research on systems and infrastructure to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts. * Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to evaluate and recommend technology products and services. Operational Management * Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering collaboration, skill development, and a high-performance culture. * Provide and manage DevOps functional support of cloud deployed resources (Azure and AWS) * Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems. * Work with Cloud Service Provider to actively manage and optimize cloud resources to maximize benefit and minimize costs. * Perform reviews of server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. * Integrate servers and various platforms (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) into a hybrid cloud enterprise architecture. * Life cycle management of documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records. * Ensure compatibility and interoperability of data center and cloud-based computing systems. * Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems. * Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports. What You'll Bring: Formal Education & Certification * Degree in computer science or a related discipline Knowledge & Experience * A minimum of 6 years' industry experience and minimum 2 years managing a technology team responsible for Infrastructure and DevOps. * Experience with cloud migration from data center to Azure for file services, application workloads, databases and VDI. * Experience implementing best practices for the deployment, monitoring, and support of a hybrid cloud environment (Azure and AWS). * Proven experience leading team responsible for system lifecycle planning, applying security principles, and infrastructure management best practices. * Excellent understanding of identity management, single sign-on and multi-factor authentication practices and platforms preferably Microsoft solutions. * Extensive knowledge of core operating systems and applications, including [SCCM, ARC, In Tune, M365, and Microsoft OS]. * Extensive experience establishing and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery infrastructure design and policies that match business requirements. * Competence with application flow charting and enterprise system mapping/diagraming.
