ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Effectively assist in daily games and activities that fit the camper's needs, interests, and developmental levels at camp. Maintain a 2:1 ratio with campers. Provide physical, emotional, and/or social assistance to campers. Be familiar with the camper's needs, medical conditions, behaviors, and/or dietary restrictions/concerns and act according to the directions of the camper's parents/guardians. Assist with cabin activities, which include horse trail rides and zip-lining. Participate in activities with children, which includes swimming daily in our pool. Ability to assist campers with a variety of needs such as homesickness, behavior management, and conflict resolution. Support and implement a work environment that puts campers first. Follow safety guidelines. Implement all ACA and Camp Campbell Gard rules and regulations. Work effectively as a team with all Camp Campbell Gard staff. QUALIFICATIONS: Be at least 18 years of age. First Aid and CPR Certifications or willingness to obtain. Must have a desire and willingness to work with children. Previous work experience with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Must be able to adapt quickly and have a quick response. Demonstrate good judgment.
