Shawnee State University company history timeline

1986

Shawnee State University was established on July 2, 1986.

Beginning in 1986, the institution continued to offer associate degrees but also began to award baccalaureate degrees.

1990

In 1990, the university awarded its first bachelor's degrees, having been authorized by the state Regents to establish baccalaureate programs two years earlier.

2005

Digital history at Shawnee State University originated with the work of Andrew Feight, Ph.D., who first established what would become known as the Shawnee Digital History Lab in 2005.
