DRIVER DUTIES:
Make local deliveries, load and secure truck with product, always secure truck gates before pulling out
Work with Supervisor to schedule deliveries
Keep all required logs and maintenance records
Work with Supervisor to schedule maintenance of delivery truck
Keep delivery truck clean and presentable at all times
WAREHOUSE LABOR:
Be knowledgeable of products and product packaging
Know procedures for both receiving and shipping using common carriers
Assist Supervisor with his duties when not driving
Know how to process bill of ladings for out bound shipments
Assist in keeping all equipment properly stored. Help keep warehouse, parts area, and demo area clean.
Report any building damage, leaks, breakage to Supervisor
Keep warehouse, parts area, and demo area clean.
Yard (front and back by tracks) to be moved and trimmed; grounds and parking lots to be kept clean.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITES:
Assist Supervisor preparing for annual physical inventory
When the Warehouse Supervisor is on vacation or otherwise out of the office, it is your responsibility to oversee the warehouse
REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:
Minimum education required is a high school diploma
Driver's license required: Class B with air brake endorsement
CDL
Needs to be forklift certified
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

A Typical Day
As a ShippingClerk, each morning you will meet your team in the Shipping Office at 7:00 a.m. for the morning huddle. We will go over the plan for the day and have short open floor discussions as needed. From there we will start our day by scanning, pulling, stacking, and wrapping up orders that need to ship for the day. At noon we will break for lunch and be back on the floor in our work area by 1:00 p.m. to finish up orders for the day. Our day will end at 3:30 pm.
On Wednesdays, you will head to the lunchroom at 11:40 a.m. for the Cosmos Minute, where the entire company meets at 11:45 a.m. to learn about other team members and special company announcements at Cosmos. Friday mornings you will meet in the shipping department at 7:00 a.m. for the special edition of the Production Cosmos Minute.

10. Ensure proper organization, cleanliness and rotation of the package storage area, draught storage, staging and racking.
11. Correctly stack products in compliance with Company standard operating procedures.
12. Replenish all pick locations in the warehouse ensuring code dates are properly rotated.
13. Move pallets from staging to correct zone in backstock location. Rotate code dates, as needed.
14. Prior to the end of shift, ensure all empty pallets are removed from the pick area and are properly stored. Sweep, mop, clean up breakage, and restock pick area before leaving; keep work area clean.
15. Operate equipment, such as forklift, baler, sweeper/scrubber, electric jack, wrapper, glue gun, and manual pump handle jack, safely and sensibly. Take responsibility by adhering to rules of operation of Company equipment ensuring the safety of self and other employees.
16. Maintain assigned forklift and forklift batteries as well as assigned handheld and scanner in compliance with Company procedures.
17. Report to work on time. At the end of each shift, report to Warehouse Day Manager prior to departure. Obtain approval prior to working in excess of regularly scheduled hours.

Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments, initiates proof of delivery documents.
May maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
