Provides mental health services to victims of crime served by the Children's Justice Center. Implements mental health best practice services to fulfill national accreditation standards. Participates in multidisciplinary team protocols to represent the best interest of child victims using a victim centered and trauma informed approach. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree from accredited college or university in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling or other closely related field, and Licensed as a Certified Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Utah. Preference given to those with at least four (4) years of experience in a child related setting, with one (1) year of experience working with child victims, and one (1) year of counseling experience with youth. Required to successfully complete 40 hours of evidence-based trauma-informed training within six (6) months of hire according to national accreditation standards. A valid Driver's license issues by the State of Utah is required to operate a vehicle. Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must successfully pass a criminal background check as well as every two years thereafter and continuously meet the requirements of the Bureau of Criminal Information (BCI). We provide counseling for children, teens, adults, couples, and families whose lives have been affected by child abuse, trauma, or personal and family issues. Our therapy is tailored to individual needs and includes various evidence-based methods suitable for both children and adults, such as play therapy, sandtray therapy, art therapy, EMDR, TFCBT, and more. Our clinical team includes LCSW, RPT-S and EMDR certified therapists who provide excellent supervision to new therapists working toward licensure and/or RPT credentialing.
