Qualifications:
We're looking for developers who want to work on challenging technology problems to create products that medical professionals and patients use every day. We work with a mix of technologies, but don't hire developers based on a particular coding language.
We're more interested in folks with raw talent and a burning desire to succeed. The most important requirement for applying is a passion to learn and to make a difference developing enabling technologies.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly
Experience reading and writing code in a programming language
Experience working collaboratively towards project goals and deadlines
Enrolled in a full-time Computer Science or relevant technical academic program, or relevant technical degree program is a plus, though we will consider non-traditional, non-CS degreed applicants.

Expected Compensation
$41.00 -$45.00 hourly
In addition to the above-referenced hourly rate, our internships, co-ops, and fellowships provide mentorship and professional development opportunities - as well as on-site perks.

The base salary range shown reflects the full range for this role from minimum to maximum. At athenahealth, base pay depends on multiple factors, including job-related experience, relevant knowledge and skills, how your qualifications compare to others in similar roles, and geographical market rates. Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package - depending on role eligibility, we offer both short and long-term incentives by way of an annual discretionary bonus plan, variable compensation plan, and equity plans.
