Job Description GENERAL FUNCTION: To demonstrate the skills necessary to construct and maintain the electric distribution system by providing high quality electric service to all customers. EDUCATION: High school graduate plus advanced trade knowledge equivalent to four years apprenticeship is required. Previous work experience as a lineman. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years of increasingly responsible experience in construction and maintenance of electric utility system is preferred. Must have customer service skills and possess good writing, verbal and interpersonal skills. Good math aptitude required. Will be required to complete the Midwest Energy Apprentice Lineman Program. Must demonstrate the aptitude and ability to pass all Company certification requirement tests. Must have climbing experience. Experience in the use of personal computers is preferred (working knowledge of Word and Excel applications). A valid Kansas Drivers License (CDL Class A) is required.
