Role Overview:
As an SLP, you will develop and implement individualized education/treatment programs for students whose ability to communicate has been impacted by developmental differences, disabilities, or injuries. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Schedule: M-F 7: 20 a.M. To 3: 20 p.M.

Two openings - one is M/W/F K - 4th grade and T/Th 5th and 6th grade. Second position starts as preschool only through December, then K - 4th grade

Key Responsibilities:
Manages and organizes specialized materials, equipment and environment essential to the speech and language program
Provides educationally related communication intervention for students disabled by disorders of language, speech or hearing in a variety of settings as appropriate
Assesses speech and language skills of students suspected of having a communication disorder and consults with teachers in developing IEP goals and objectives
Provides resources, modeling strategies and training to other team members in communication interventions
Communicates regularly the results of individual student assessment and progress with involved school staff (special and general education), parents and where appropriate the student

Key Responsibilities
Implement speech and language pathology services for outpatient neuro patients

Provide therapy targeting speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
Document care accurately and in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary rehab teams to support patient progress

Position Description:
The SpeechLanguagePathologist (SLP) has a primary responsibility to accelerate client success and drive coordination of care with ABA services. Requirements
Essential Functions:
Must be able to lift and carry clients who are least 30 pounds
Must have hearing ability sufficient to evaluate client's speech
Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Support Plan in the course of working with children with challenging behavior
Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures including kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing, bending, for extended periods of time.
Must be able to walk and run to chase clients and maintain a three-foot distance at all times

Accurately completes documentation in compliance with department and regulatory timelines to ensure a complete medical record that supports skilled services and appropriate medical necessity. Charges appropriately for services provided and appropriately documents outcome measures.
Provides clinical supervision, including but not limited to coordination of care and delegation of duties, to techs and students according to state/federal regulations and hospital guidelines. Responsible to assure that patient care interventions provided by students are appropriate for the patient's plan of care.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master's Degree inSpeech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university required.
Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association required.
Speech-LanguagePathologistIN state license required.
Must have current CPR certification in accordance with AHA standards or be able to obtain within 4 weeks of start date.
One (1) year of clinical experience in rehabilitation preferred but will consider Clinical Fellowship Year candidates.
