Key Responsibilities:
Manages and organizes specialized materials, equipment and environment essential to the speech and language program
Provides educationally related communication intervention for students disabled by disorders of language, speech or hearing in a variety of settings as appropriate
Assesses speech and language skills of students suspected of having a communication disorder and consults with teachers in developing IEP goals and objectives
Provides resources, modeling strategies and training to other team members in communication interventions
Communicates regularly the results of individual student assessment and progress with involved school staff (special and general education), parents and where appropriate the student

This is a W2 employment opportunity. The exact compensation band is based on where the provider resides. Compensation for providers living in CA, HI, and NY is $44-$54 an hour; AK, CO, CT, DC, DE, IL, IN, MA, MD, NJ, NM, OH, PA, RI, TX, VA, and WA is $44-$54 an hour; AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, KS, KY, MI, MN, MT, NC, NH, NV, OK, OR, SC, UT, WI, and WY is $44-$49 an hour; AL, ID, LA, ME, MO, MS, ND, NE, SD, TN, VT, and WV is $44-$47 an hour. Exact hourly rate will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's skills, geographical location, and other qualifications.

A SpeechLanguagePathologist (SLP) administers speech therapy to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Administrator/Clinical Manager. Speech therapy services are furnished only by or under the supervision of a qualified speechpathologist or audiologist.
Provides a full range SpeechLanguage Pathology Services as ordered by physician.
Periodically participates with all other home care personnel in patient care planning
Takes initial history and makes initial evaluation, performs all skilled procedure
Consults with physicians regarding change of treatment, writes reports to physicians regarding patient's progress
An initial evaluation, including a plan of treatment and goals, must be completed and submitted to the physician for approval. A recertification by a physician every 60 days is necessary if further treatment is to be continued. A progress note is written each visit. A reevaluation is written when the expected duration of treatment is reached. A summary is written upon patient's discharge.
Required Qualifications
A Master's or Doctoral degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology and is licensed as a SpeechLanguagePathologist by the state where they furnish service
Knowledge of medical terminology required
Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance coverage
Desired Qualifications
Two (2) years' experience as a Speech Therapist preferred. Home Health experience preferred
