* As a Speech and Language Pathologist you are responsible for direct patient care. Integrate elements of patient/client management, examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis and interventions in a manner designed to maximize patient's functional outcomes.
*Responsibilities:*
* Formulates comprehensive treatment program by evaluating patients with cognitive linguistic disorders, communication disorders, dysphagia/swallowing disorders and voice/respiratory disorders.
* Identify and refer patients for related services (audiology, vocational, medical as appropriate).
* Assess patient's rehab needs through the continuum of care and provides appropriate disposition, equipment, education and treatment recommendations.

Pay range for full-time: $37.60 - $47.60 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

Summary:

Essential Work Functions:
Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population
Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practices
Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home-based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, while offering supportive counseling as required
Work in conjunction with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate a comprehensive approach to patient care
Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients' comfort needs during therapy sessions
Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in speech language therapy

Responsibilities
Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in patients.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
Implement therapy sessions to improve speech and language skills.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Educate patients and families on communication strategies and techniques.
Experience/Qualifications
State licensure to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders.
Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare setting.
Excellent collaboration skills with healthcare professionals.
