Responsibilities will include conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and strengths, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans, provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional and behavioral issue. They will collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create supportive learning environments, provide crisis intervention and support for students and staff as needed. A heavy focus will be on supporting children's communication development. The SLP may also support infants and young toddlers with feeding/swallowing concerns, in consultation with the child's medical team. The SLP will conduct evaluations/assessments and use the information gathered to help determine a child's eligibility for services, as well as develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs). As a member of the IFSP team, the SLP will function as families' Primary Service Provider (PSP) or Supporting Service Provider (SSP). As a family's PSP, the SLP will serve as their main point of contact and provide the majority of their services. As a family's SSP, the SLP will support the family's PSP to learn and carryover strategies to support the child's development. In both of their roles as a PSP and SSP, the SLP will recommend strategies to support children's development across developmental areas, with a focus on their receptive and expressive communication. This may include the use of augmentative or alternative communication (AAC) systems.     CCSN Behavioral Health is excited to announce that we are seeking a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to support our clinic based in Glastonbury, CT. We are seeking full-time candidates. CCSN is a multidisciplinary behavioral health clinic, supporting individuals with Autism and complex neurodevelopmental disorders across the lifespan. Primary responsibilities include: Administer appropriate standardized tests/screenings/informal assessments/clinical observations After initial assessment of patients, provide medical recommendations, referrals, and follow-up for each case Provide interpretation and/or counseling of test results to children and young adults/caregivers as well as ongoing feedback regarding progress Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on developing, implementing, and revising the therapy plan of care based on initial and ongoing assessments, and as required by policy/regulation Develop individualized plan of care as appropriate to meet the needs of the child and young adult/caregiver including appropriate frequency and duration Provide specialized pediatric treatment activities to children and young adults Supervise SLPs, SLPAs, CFs The successful candidate will possess: A master's degree in a Speech Language Pathology program Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). Preferred: 5+ years in clinical practice with pediatric experience Preferred: AAC specialization Experience in delivering, designing, and implementing evidence-based treatment to individuals with ASD Experience in leading evidence-based social skills groups Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Experience working with commercial and public payors and billing best-practices Desire to work as part of a larger team interdisciplinary team of psychologists, occupational therapists, BCBAs, and other speech pathologist Specialize in pediatric rehabilitation and should be excited to build treatment as a part of our multidisciplinary team of therapists. This position also includes: Weekly participation in clinical teams and group supervision Participation in center-based professional development Opportunities for growth and development of clinical skills Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians throughout the organization.
