    Up to $2000 Placement Bonus - Excellent CF Opportunity Speech Language Pathologist Key Responsibilities: Assessments & Evaluations: Conduct compliant, formalized and dynamic assessments to determine educational eligibility/level of functioning. Complete observations and evaluations, and manage annual and triennial reviews. Develop and maintain compliant IEPs and participate in multi-disciplinary teams. Treatment Planning: Develop and coordinate treatment plans with interdisciplinary team members to ensure educational benefit. Consultation & Instruction: Consult with team members, including families, to maximize generalization of target skill sets. May oversee and support the Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), including monitoring supervision hours and promoting ongoing professional development. Data Collection & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress, including therapy notes and assessment data, and use research-based data for monitoring and reporting. Time Off Management for Full-Time School Employees: Employees are encouraged to schedule their time off during school breaks. Time off requests will be reviewed and approved by the supervisor to ensure minimal disruption to normal operations. Speech Language Pathologist Qualifications: Licensure: Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are delivered or eligibility to obtain such licensure. Certifications: Department of Education certification (if applicable), and any relevant certifications (e.g., CPR, CPI) as needed. Experience: Preferably one year of experience in speech therapy; clinical fellows or RPE candidates are welcome. Clearances: DOJ/FBI Livescan background check and TB clearance required. Must be eligible to work in the US. Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities; knowledge of evidence-based practices and special education programs preferred. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Speech Language Pathologist Physical Demands: Environment: Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes. Activity: Frequent engagement in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations. Sensory: Ability to perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices or accommodations, including working in moderate to high noise levels. Keeps current with trends and research in the field of Speech Therapy. Professional Development: Attends in-services/continuing education, provides updates in the form of in-services to associates. Participates in professional learning opportunities as required by state specifications and Nemours. Developing ties with professional organizations. Provides educational in-services and experiences to the discipline/program and outside community. Program Development: participates in activities to increase program use, awareness, and marketing. Attends program meetings. Contributes to achievement of department/program goals. Collaborates with community partners and participates in Speech Therapy related community events. Provides outreach assistance to outside professionals concerning children with speech therapy needs. Works collaboratively with other departments and specialties. Completes timely documentation as required by departmental policy and The Joint Commission, and CARF standards. Attends meetings related to patient treatment and contributes to discussion as an interdisciplinary team member. Maintains knowledge of insurance referral/authorization process and documentation requirements related to therapy services. Job Requirements Master's Degree required. Minimum of three (3) months experience required. New graduates will be considered based on educational experiences. Florida State License to practice Speech Language Pathology required. American Heart Association BLS Certification required upon hire. Member of professional specialty organizations (ASHA, FLASHA), preferred. Prior pediatrics experience preferred. Must be available for weekend shifts. Spanish speaking preferred but not required. #LI-EP1
