Examples of Work Performed

HOURLY RATE: $22.79 JOB OBJECTIVES: To provide governmental accounting support to the Department of Finance. Prepares or coordinates the preparation of special and technical reports and records. Decisions are made on a daily basis on established procedures or guidance from his/her supervisor. Accountant will be an important role in the preparation of City's budget and year-end audit. Accountant will be required to perform similar or related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintains and monitors inventory of City fixed assets, as well as material inventories (fuel, auto parts, equipment and office supplies).
2. Prepares monthly reconciliations of items and materials issued.
3. Assist with the preparation of grants reimbursements.
4. Prepares and enters data to Incode Financial Accounting System using General Journal Entries, Budget Adjustments and Budget Amendments.
