Your Opportunity
In this role you will be responsible for the management of a variety of Renewable Energy projects and studies.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Client management, team development, pursuits, and market growth
* Supervision, development, mentorship, and empowerment of engineers, technicians, and designers
* Lead as a technical design expert for renewable energy projects
* Execute and manage complex civil engineering designs and projects for a variety of renewables (solar, wind, battery, etc.) clients.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
* Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E. or P.Eng) preferred.
* Experienced in large civil project design functions including, site planning, roads, drainage, grading, utilities, and other municipal and private sector infrastructure.
* Experienced in renewable energy ministerial and non-ministerial permitting processes.
* Experienced in engineering design, construction inspection, contract administration, project management, business development, and client service management.
* Ability to create, suggest, and introduce innovative and effective client solutions and integrated deliverables that are aligned with the Sector business objectives.
* Ability to travel up to 10%.
* Valid Driver's License and good driving record required.
Education and Experience
* Preferred minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project management and civil engineering.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering STEM field.

Pay Range:

Your Opportunity
The Design Lead is accountable for leading the Project Technical Team to develop and deliver the most appropriate design for construction on budget and in accordance with the overall project program. This role will work closely with the Project Manager and Technical Leads for the delivery, efficiency and quality of all design deliverables. The Design Lead will coordinate all multi‐ disciplinary activities and inputs by the engineering and technical teams, including specialist inputs from procurement, construction, and maintenance teams to ensure an integrated design solution.
The Design Lead personally contributes to the technical delivery of the outputs. The Design Lead is often a discipline lead, a task lead on large projects, or as a check or review resource of progressive and final deliverables.
The Design Lead is responsible for managing time cost and quality in production of the design. Regular reporting of progress and forecasting is a requirement of the role. The Design Lead must manage the delivery of design in accordance with the scope and is responsible for change management at the project level.

- Provide regular monitoring and reporting on schedule, budget, quality, resources, and scope, and proposed corrective action to remedy situation(s) requiring attention.
- Communicate and coordinate all quality reviews, schedules, status, and modifications with Design Quality teams and Discipline reviewers.
- Provide direction to Discipline reviewers on the location, schedule, job number, cost code(s), response period, etc., for each submittal review.
- Notify required discipline/quality leads immediately of any changes to design and subsequent review schedules.
- Coordinate with other program Leads to estimate project design budgets and develop a design delivery schedule that works with the other project functions such as estimating, procurement, construction, commissioning etc...
- Identify and mentor technical staff.
- Contribute to proposal and bid development to support business development activities, including preparing proposal material as required and budget for client business cases
- Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality, Safety & Environment Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
- Minimize and control risk by commitment to the Stantec Quality, Health & Safety programs and ensuring proactive use of our project management systems.

Your Role
The selected candidate will provide support on various environmental projects throughout Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. This position will primarily support soil and groundwater investigations and removal activities at Superfund sites located throughout EPA Region 7 (Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Nebraska). However, work on other sites throughout the U.S. may also be required. Responsibilities will include:
* Management of field projects, including supervision of junior staff.
* Preparation of cost estimates and work plans.
* Writing and technical review of reports to clients and regulators.
* Oversight of monitoring well installation and well logging.
* Planning and oversight of field studies including the collection of soil, groundwater, surface water, and indoor air samples.
* Interpretation of sample data and preparation of data summary reports.
* Supporting other environmental studies including Phase I and II environmental site assessments.
* The position will require extensive outdoor work as well as overnight travel.
In this position you will be part of multiple project teams, in some cases as a project manager and in other cases as project support staff. You will continue to expand your project management abilities, with opportunities to move into a supervisor/team leader role. Qualifications

Your Role
The selected candidate will provide support on various Brownfields assessment and remediation projects in Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma, with the possibility of work in other states. This position will primarily support and manage due diligence and assessment efforts for Brownfields sites, including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments and hazardous materials surveys. Responsibilities will include:
* Write or oversee the preparation of reports, Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs), Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs), Analyses of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCAs), and Remedial Action Plans (RAPs) Preparation of cost estimates and work plans.
* Assist clients writing grant applications for both EPA and state assessment and remediation grants, going through state-level voluntary clean-up programs, and applying for revolving loan funds to support remediation efforts, as well as other related documents/tasks for grant recipients.
* Support proposal and cost estimate development.
* Market/manage existing and new clients.
* Communicate and interact with project clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
* Oversee and manage subcontractors during completion of site assessments, excavations, and other remedial activities.
* Limited field work, including the collection of soil, groundwater, surface water, and indoor air samples.

* Conduct Phase I ESAs.

Qualifications
Candidates must have 8-12 years of experience in environmental consulting, knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, field experience, and management of field teams including, but not limited to: analyzing for hazardous materials in the environment (soil, groundwater, air, etc.), and management and oversight of remediation projects (ground water, soil, asbestos, lead and mold). The selected candidate must also have/be:
* Meet the ASTM definition of a qualified environmental professional.

Work Environment
This position requires roughly up to 15% travel. This position will mostly consist of office work, with limited outdoor field work (including project site visits) that could include overnight travel. * Lift sample coolers and other equipment up to 35 pounds.

Stantec's Environmental Services practice seeks a Project Manager (Renewable Energy) to provide project management, environmental regulatory, and permitting services with a focus on Shadow Flicker & Environmental Compliance of renewable energy projects. You will lead efforts to assess, manage, and mitigate shadow flicker impacts from wind turbines for our clients' proposed wind energy developments. You will also manage cross-functional efforts to assist our wind, solar and battery energy storage clients in successfully permitting at the local, state, and federal levels. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage shadow flicker assessments across multiple wind energy projects.
Oversee modeling and analysis using tools such as WindPRO, ArcGIS, or similar software applications.
Coordinate with our clients' engineering, siting, and permitting teams to optimize turbine layouts.
Develop and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with clients.
Prepare and review technical documentation for shadow flicker impacts, renewable energy permitting, and public consultation.
Present at public meetings and appear as expert witness for shadow flicker projects.
Serve as the primary point of contact for shadow flicker-related inquiries from existing and potential clients.
Collaborate with internal team or sector leaders, such as the renewable energy group, to expand opportunities and client base.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Education and Experience

WSP USA hosts hundreds of internships across the United States to gain hands-on, meaningful work experience to enhance their education and professional aptitude. Our interns gain exposure to real projects while working side by side with senior staff. This internship is anticipated to take place during the Summer 2026 semester. The program is anticipated to take place from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026. The individual start date is flexible.
**Your Impact**
+ Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
+ Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
+ Assist with electrical studies and troubleshooting SCADA systems for utility and industrial/commercial clients
+ Work on power systems including generation facilities, substations, transmission, and distribution systems

**Pay Range:**
- Locations in VT, & Various CA, NY Areas - Min Salary $ 82,800.00 - Max Salary $ 124,200.00
- Locations in CO, HI, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas - Min Salary $ 91,100.00 - Max Salary $ 136,600.00
**Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
