The North America Trade Operations Lead is part of Meta's Global Trade Operations team, which is part of the Global Scaled Compliance Operations organization. As Trade Operations, we partner closely with all internal business partners engaged in cross-border trade to enable them to move fast, compliantly and efficiently. This includes our Infrastructure, Reality Labs, Enterprise supply chains. Regional Trade & Customs Operational Lead Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the primary point of contact for trade operations covering the NORAM region, including partnership with internal stakeholders, counsel, and customs brokers

3. Monitor trade compliance inquiries by governmental enforcement agencies for resolution and root cause analysis

Understanding how ultrasonic waves propagate through the human body has many important applications for AR/VR. However, this problem is still largely unexplored and extremely complex to model. Meta is leading a cutting-edge investigation in this space, relying on world-class experts. In this position, you will join Meta's ultrasonic sensing team to investigate the propagation of ultrasonic waves in complex media using both experiments and simulations, explore different ultrasound carrier frequencies, modulation waveforms, launch configurations, transducers and body coupling, and estimate fundamental wave propagation parameters, such as dispersion, attenuation, and group velocity.Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.

Research Scientist Intern, Ultrasonic Sensing (PhD)

Understanding how ultrasonic waves propagate through the human body has many important applications for AR/VR. However, this problem is still largely unexplored and extremely complex to model. Meta is leading a cutting-edge investigation in this space, relying on world-class experts. In this position, you will join Meta's ultrasonic sensing team to investigate the propagation of ultrasonic waves in complex media using both experiments and simulations, explore different ultrasound carrier frequencies, modulation waveforms, launch configurations, transducers and body coupling, and estimate fundamental wave propagation parameters, such as dispersion, attenuation, and group velocity. Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year.

* Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Physics, Engineering, or Mechanics or relevant technical field
* Experience with experimental techniques to study wave propagation through solid materials, including, but not limited to, ultrasound imaging, ultrasound Doppler, quantitative ultrasound, acoustic exposimetry, or laser Doppler vibrometry
