Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management & Support
Monitor and maintain data communications and server infrastructure to ensure system availability during business hours.
Manage multi-site Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP configurations.
Maintain documentation (e.g., IP management, access controls, system procedures, and diagrams).
Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline routine administrative tasks.
Oversee private cloud (Hyper-V) infrastructure, including host platform management, performance monitoring, SAN management, virtual machine deployment, snapshots, and replication.
Network Security
Configure and manage clustered firewalls across datacenters, remote offices, and disaster recovery sites.
Ensure SIEM integration and proper log management across network security devices.
Perform security updates and patch deployment using automated tools.
Collaborate with Information Security on system-wide security improvements.
Application & Server Support
Support infrastructure-critical applications (e.g., NFS, SFTP, web services).
Maintain server-side applications, including antivirus, messaging, and Office365/Exchange services.
Assist with upgrades and maintenance of on-premises and cloud-based applications.
Disaster Recovery
Maintain and test DR systems using Hyper-V Replication, Veeam, and third-party backup tools.
Ensure continuous operation of offsite file sync and data backup systems.
Perform regular DR testing to confirm readiness and failover capability.
Monitoring & System Health
Conduct daily and weekly infrastructure health checks; proactively resolve issues.
Monitor Exchange and Office365 messaging services for continuity.
Participate in on-call rotation for incident response and issue resolution.
Research & Planning
Identify infrastructure enhancements and work with the IT team to evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies.
Analyze system bottlenecks and recommend improvements for performance and scalability.
Web Infrastructure Support
Support and maintain core IIS web servers and associated services.
Configure server environments for custom applications and deployments.
Workstation Support & Help Desk
Respond to and manage help desk tickets and end-user issues.
Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, printers, and peripheral devices.
Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and implement tested solutions.
Maintain licensing for software and ensure timely hardware rollouts.
Support end-user onboarding, upgrades, and system training.
Provide after-hours on-call support as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a System Engineer or Network Administrator.
Proficient in:
Windows Server 2019, Windows 10/11
VLAN and network infrastructure setup
Multi-access point wireless environments
Firewall systems (Meraki, Palo Alto preferred)
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project)
Familiarity with:
Web infrastructure (IIS, DNS management, certificates, domain registration)
Automation tools (VBScript, PowerShell, Python, C#, or similar)
Task scheduling with MS Scheduler
Self-motivated and adaptable to new technologies with minimal supervision.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Design, implement, and support BI platform administration including infrastructure builds, upgrades, performance testing, and ensuring high availability across cloud and on‑premises environments.
+ Administer and maintain BI platforms (e.g., SAP BusinessObjects, Tableau, Alteryx, Looker, SAS), with demonstrated expertise in at least two technologies.

SCCI is currently seeking Junior Systems Engineer (SE) to join our team. This is an entry-level position that will support the Battle Management System (BMS) modern portfolio of DoD projects. In this role you will interface with multiple engineering technical teams (i.e. Software Engineering, Test, Configuration Management, Training, and Safety) and technical personnel from various external organizations to refine program intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and develop and document final solutions.
