Title: Virtualization and Server Administrator Location: Bridgewater,NJ JOB DESCRIPTION:- The Virtualization and Server Administrator is responsible for advanced administration, design, build, implementation and support of server environments, including VMware vSphere-hosted virtual machines, Citrix XenApp farms, and physical Windows servers. This position also provides support of UNIX and LINUX server environments, disk storage systems, backup/restore environments, and local area network/wireless network communications equipment to effectively support the LifeCell's network and server operations. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: (give an estimated percentage of time for each duty) Essential Duties % of Time 1) Manage and administer Server Virtualization (VMware 4.x & 5.x/Citrix 5.x) and Windows Servers: • Build/design VM Requirements, manage and perform physical server host and guest operating system maintenance, installation, patching, configuration, support, backup/restore, monitoring, trending. • Administration of Windows server environments • Administration of SAN and disk storage • Administration of LVM structures and file systems • SQL Server administration • Tuning systems and I/O for optimal performance • Development, debugging and maintenance of shell scripts • Maintenance of user accounts, group membership and printer configurations 30% 2) Provide technical scripting, tooling and automation for continuous and efficient operations. 10% 3) Participates in activities/projects involving server hardware and/or disk storage solutions. Serve as team representative on projects related to server/storage builds.
