The purpose of the program is to provide afterschool tutoring in English Language Development for Refugee scholars to experience and participate in STEAM and Mindfulness activities to close academic and emotional gap caused by breaks in educational services and family stability. Tutoring will occur Mondays and Tuesdays for 2 hours after school. Additionally, explicitly teaching coping skills to manage the impact and effects of traumatic events. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES: The Teacher delivers instruction and conducts activities with students and parents using the STEAM and Mindfulness curriculum resources.
