They also work as part of the global Network Communications team, involved in the design and implementation, commissioning and decommissioning of new and existing infrastructure. Main Duties and Responsibilities The Voice and Unified Communications Engineer is responsible for maintaining, administering and troubleshooting the Firm's existing Voice platforms, including voicemail, devices and associated lines, electronic fax solutions and call reporting solutions. In addition, this role is required to support any transitions to Unified Communications platforms, including designing, auditing, testing, configuring and deploying solutions on a global basis. The responsibilities will include ongoing maintenance and issue resolution while ensuring the designated platform has sufficient capacity, performs as required and is readily available throughout the platform's existence, including, but not limited to: Maintain and troubleshoot existing Cisco voice systems; analyze telecommunications requirements and plans, program and test telecommunication systems. Work with external vendors to identify faults and log circuit outages. Investigate hardware and software problems with voice/network devices and work with the manufacturers' support teams to resolve - ensuring the stability of the service. Monitor the health of the voice and UC infrastructure using an array of network monitoring and analysis tools. Assess the platform for any security vulnerabilities and manage the remediation, including any major upgrades where appropriate. Ensure proactive capacity planning, and that appropriate contingency/recovery plans are in place and maintained accordingly. Prepare and maintain technical platform related documentation. Assist in capturing data required for the design and implementation of new UC systems. Perform preventative maintenance (on-site and remotely) of all voice-related systems, including cable plant, firmware upgrades and platform level updates, monitor performance and carry out equipment repairs. Configure, verify and monitor system backups. Program the existing Cisco platform and maintain routing tables in the most efficient manner. Maintain and recommend security systems to protect against unauthorized access and analyze data to detect unauthorized usage and fraud. This position will work with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage, and monitor CPM schedules and project control systems throughout a project's life cycle. This role is a significant project team position with many growth opportunities. General responsibilities include: Development, maintenance, and monitoring of construction CPM Schedules. Review project documents and specifications to develop baseline schedules that accurately include all required dates, activities, and milestones. Perform progress schedule updates to include comprehensive reporting and narratives. Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals. Perform critical path analyses, identify schedule-related problems, and recommend corrective actions. Conduct site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages for the project site team. Review the contractor's progress and present it to management for decision-making. Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program. Cost and resource management and reporting. Identification and evaluation of risk and impacts within project schedules. Communicate project status and challenges effectively. Meet with project teams, clients, owners, and various stakeholders. Requirements: Five or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry. Two or more years of experience in project controls for data centers. Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related field. This requirement may be waived with five or more years of direct, vertical construction industry experience. Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6. Ability to accurately interpret construction documents. Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences. Experience developing construction project schedules for data center projects. Cost and resource management and reporting, Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling, Excellent oral and written communication skills, Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously, AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification(s) preferred. This role requires being full-time on-site.
