Job Summary:
The Critical Power Level 4 Technician is an expert in the critical power industry and has extensive experience with telecommunications, utility and/or UPS power systems. This is a leadership position that will supervise and train less experienced technicians. A level 4 technician should be able to design custom power solutions and provide turnkey installations. Due to the energized electrical equipment (hot) work requirement of this position, safety must be of the highest importance. Inspect and Repair Hydraulic Systems and Components
Inspect components such as complete systems, pumps, valves, motors, electrical equipment, and cylinders sent in by a customer to be repaired.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems using electrical and hydraulic schematics when applicable.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with electronic controls, both analog and digital when applicable.
Provide a detailed failure analysis along with pictures when possible.
Provide a list of components and services needed to complete the repair.
After the repair is approved by the customer, cleaning, lapping, polishing and other various duties to prepare the component for assembly.
Complete assembly of the component to factory specifications when applicable.
Testing of the repaired component to factory specifications utilizing various test stands, meters, gauges, and data acquisition equipment when applicable.
Provide test data in various forms including test sheets and graphs.
Service Calls
Secure equipment, information, supplies, and tools deemed necessary to complete the customer's requested scope of work.
Track and record travel time to and from customer's facility as well as time spent at customer's facility.
Drive company service vehicle to customer's facility.
Diagnose/troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Diagnose/troubleshoot problems using electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Diagnose/troubleshoot problems with electronic controls, both analog and digital.
Inspect and repair components at customer's facility when applicable.
Provide customer with service call report once the service call is completed.
Debrief and provide service call report to service manager(s).
Return all tools and unused supplies to storage locations when applicable.

As part of the operations system team, you will work with highly motivated engineers, experts, and innovators in the data center industry. The Monitoring, Analysis, Response, and Communication (MARC) Technician will have a direct impact on the overall customer experience. The MARC Technician will have the ability to assist the MARC team, to design solutions for complex problems, to assist & manage outside contractors, be on call for emergencies, to handle multiple projects and daily activities, and meet tough timelines. The MARC Technician will help develop and execute plans to establish and complete department goals.
The MARC Technician will be responsible for the continuous remote monitoring of site conditions and triaging incoming alarms and incident alerts to establish a standardized response to critical issues across the portfolio. This role will also require the technician to assists MARC team and Management in providing both reactive and pro-active assistance to all operational facilities teams within the CyrusOne portfolio. The role has a direct impact on the sites, its productivity and operational success.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Assist in the strategic direction for facilities operations.
+ Ensure all safety procedures are followed. Assist in development of training programs to increase team technical capabilities.
+ Be part of a 24/7/365 team to monitor and assist sites with incident response and management. The MARC Technicians will assist in the incident management team's operational aspects in a way which protects, maintains, and improves the value of the data centers.
+ Assist in site incident investigation by utilizing structured problem solving to identify root cause of failures.
+ Demonstrate the ability to self-start, be responsive, and be creative when finding solutions.
+ Identify opportunities to improve quality, customer service and cost performance, and assist in the execution of approved plans.
+ Assist in the creation of reports and presentations for senior management.
+ Assist Management to ensure optimal roll out and training in standard tools, processes, and systems where possible.
+ Help create and implement BMS/EPMS training to include mechanical plant management, utilization validation, and report/trend generation.
+ To develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization, being an ally to all.
+ Manage multiple project deliverables, requirements, and navigate complex situations.
+ Ability to prioritize and manage resources under high pressure
+ Assist in MARC led Root Cause Analysis.
**Qualifications:**
+ Three to five (3-5) years of data center experience preferred.
+ Be able to work different shifts within 24/7/365 coverage strategy.
+ Proven record of accomplishment for cultivating strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, or customers.
+ Excellent communication skills, teamwork, organizational and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
+ Demonstrated understanding of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
+ Multilingual is a plus.
**Education / Certifications:**
+ High School diploma required.
+ Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, or other related engineering degrees preferred.
**Work Environment:**
+ Fast paced environment
+ 12 hour shifts, 7am - 7pm, TH, F, Sat (every other Wednesday)
