Starting Salary Range: $58.03 - $58.03 Responsible for splicing high voltage and secondary network systems (power cables used in underground distribution) and street lighting. Fully capable of installing, splicing and terminating high voltage at 13.2kV and below. Locating and repairing cable faults of all kinds. Performs all other underground work involving construction, maintenance, repair and routine inspection. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Operates all tools and equipment pertaining to underground distribution. Identifies and handles all materials and components associated with underground residential distribution (URD). Identifies and handles all materials and components associated with lead cable work. Reads and interprets various underground-related prints and drawings. Splices lead cable, 350 and 500 MCM, including straight lead splices, wye lead splices, up to quad lead splices. This is an exciting new position that will be based in Woburn, Massachusetts with frequent customer-site travel.
