Position Summary
To provide safe and effective nursing care to all patients (Adult and Pediatric) utilizing the nursing process at West Boca Medical Center and off site at West Boca Emergency Center. The RegisteredNurse also is responsible for the direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care. Administers and performs specialized nursing care according to assigned unit and treatment for patient. The RN reviews orders/test results and documents care delivered accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
EDUCATION:
Minimum: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred BSN.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum: 24 month Med/Surg experience and successful and/or critical care experience and completion of a critical care training program preferred.
Adult and Pediatric Emergency experience preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful completion of WBMC Medication test.
Successful completion of unit specific test.
Demonstrates yearly competencies specific to unit.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/ LICENSURE/ REGISTRATION:
Current Florida RN License
Minimum 2 year licensed nursing practice in an Emergency Dept preferred.
BLS, ACLS, PALS certification (American Heart Association)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job Summary:
The Professional Staff Nurse plans, delivers and evaluates nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of the Director and/or designee. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Minimum Education /Licensure / Certifications:
Licensed RegisteredNurse, State of Florida
CPR certification (Basic Life Support)
Basic EKG certification
ACLS within 6 months of hire
Successful completion of GSMC medication test
Successful completion of the GSMC EKG test
1 year of experience

Qualifications
Must have and maintain an active, unencumbered license (LPN/LVN) in the state in which the clinician will practice
Compact licenses must be transferred to your state of residence within 90 days
Current CPR certification (with hands-on component)- Aveanna can assist in obtaining this requirement after hire, if necessary.
TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
Must have reliable transportation
