This position performs teller duties to ensure banking needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. Required experience includes cash handling, computer skills, and excellent customer service skills. This position is not remote.

Essential Teller Functions:
Provide superior customer service to bank customers by performing banking transactions for current and potential customers.
Expand customer banking relationships by making appropriate referrals.
Maintain and balance a cash drawer, receive deposits, cash checks, and post payments.

Process cash advances and money orders following all operational procedures.

Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products and services that are handled or promoted by tellers.

· Minimum of one (1) year successful performance as a Teller 1 with demonstrated proficiencies in all transactional and operational tasks and meeting referral goals or minimum experience of two (2) years in a financial institution that involves cash handling, customer service and sales.
Skills
· Attention to detail and basic math and numeric sequencing aptitude
· Good judgement in order to evaluate identities, accounts, checks, and currency
· Interpersonal skills and provide exceptional member experience with all member interactions
· Ability to communicate with members and others at all levels of the Credit Union, in both written and verbal formats
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software applications
