JOB SUMMARY
The Student Success Advisor provides comprehensive academic advising, student support, and strategic problem-solving to enhance student success, retention, and completion. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICIATIONS
Bachelor's degree required from a regionally accredited college or university.
Four years of experience in academic advising, admissions, records, financial aid, counseling, teaching, managing a caseload, early alert systems, or related fields.
Community college experience and knowledge of Banner and Banner Document Management System, preferred.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
STUDENT SUCCESS, ACADEMIC ADVISING, SUPPORT, AND PROBLEM SOLVING (35%)
Provide advising support and guidance for all students throughout the registration process, ensuring they have the necessary resources, information, and assistance to successfully navigate course selection, registration timelines, and any related academic requirements.
Facilitate registration and provide additional academic advising.
Manage a broad caseload of students, providing in-depth academic advising and career counseling to support student success, retention, and completion.
Guide students through the advising and registration process using tools such as Degree Works, Schedule Planner, and CougarNet, ensuring they understand academic pathways and course selections.
Lead and facilitate advising-centered workshops, virtual information sessions, and community outreach initiatives to enhance student engagement, recruitment, and retention.
Resolve complex student challenges, including financial, academic, and personal obstacles utilizing cross function inquiry and collaboration
Develop and implement targeted intervention strategies for academically at-risk students, providing tailored referrals (i.e., American Job Center, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), Employment and Training, etc.) , academic support services, and proactive guidance.
Independently troubleshoot and resolve student issues related to enrollment, financial aid, academic records, and course prerequisites, ensuring seamless student progression.
Apply complex problem-solving skills to navigate interconnected systems and ensure institutional policies are followed to support student success.
Organize and participate in key enrollment-related events, including Cougar Days, and Enrollment Events, to foster student engagement and retention.
FINANCIAL AID COUNSELING AND COMPLIANCE (25%)
Serve as the primary financial aid advisor (primary advisory for caseload), providing high-level counseling on federal, state, and institutional aid programs.
Assist students and families with FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) completion, verification processes, appeals, and financial aid award.
Ensure compliance with federal and institutional financial aid policies, collaborating with regulatory agencies, as necessary.
Identify students at risk; assess student barriers; engage appropriate campus resources; develop strategies for academic success in coordination with college personnel.
Assist with student accounts; directing students to payment plans; billing; and bookstore credits.
STUDENT MONITORING, DATA ANALYSIS, AND ENROLLMENT PROCESS (20%)
Utilize multiple dashboards and reporting systems to monitor, track, and analyze data for admitted and enrolled students, ensuring early intervention and strategic communication.
Leverage data to proactively engage students using various outreach methods (email, text, social media, phone) to enhance enrollment, persistence, and academic success.
Oversee the admissions process, guiding students through program selection, transcript evaluation, and placement testing.
Support student retention by analyzing workforce trends and industry projections, aligning academic programs with career pathways.
CAREER COMMUNITY AND CAREER OUTLOOK ADVISING (15%)
Utilize labor market data platforms (i.e. Lightcast) to provide real-time insights, aligning academic program selection with high-demand career fields.
Interpret workforce trends, industry projections, and economic shifts to guide students toward sustainable employment opportunities.
Conduct career planning sessions that integrate salary expectations, regional job demand, and skill development strategies.
Assist in developing institutional reports that assess student career outcomes and program effectiveness.
Participate in targeted initiatives within a specialized career community, offering expert-level support. Actively participate in specialized activities, leveraging knowledge of specific academic disciplines.

The City of O'Fallon, MO is looking to hire dependable Day Camp Leaders for the Summer 2026 Camp Season. Are you looking for a position where you'll use your skills in managing and caring for children? Our Day Camp Leaders earn competitive pay with an expected starting range of $16.25 hourly.
As part of our Parks and Recreation Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of camp participants in all camp related activities and supervising before and after care. Generally, your schedule will be 40 hours per week Monday - Friday during the Summer Camp Season beginning in May.
As a Day Camp Leader, your duties and responsibilities will include:
Supervising campers, ensuring their safety at all times.
Disciplining children as needed.
Communicating with parents.
Maintaining weekly paperwork.
Disciplining staff as needed.
Attending mandatory weekly staff meetings and required training.
Administering first aid as needed.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable working with children and their parents. This person should be someone who can be relied upon to supervise part-time camp counselors during before and after care.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Fulfill all instructional requirements as mandated by Cleveland State Community College and the Tennessee Board of Regents.

Devote a minimum of 37.5 hours per week to the institution, maintain appropriate office hours, and secure approval for any commitments which might affect employment.

JOB LOCATION
The primary workplace for this position is the Health and Science Building at Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, Tennessee. Occasional travel to off-campus instructional sites within the College's five-county service area may be required. The weekly work schedule will be determined by program and course needs and may vary from day to day. Some evening hours may also be necessary.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
Our Field Wildlife or Project Biologist | Part-time, Hybrid position will be located in California in a hybrid work schedule.
This Field Wildlife Biologist role involves conducting biological surveys, preparing reports, and monitoring construction activities to ensure regulatory compliance. The position requires strong field-based decision-making, communication skills, and proficiency with tools like ArcGIS GPS for mapping biological resources.
As a key member of the team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Perform biological surveys, report preparation, data tracking and analysis, construction monitoring, and other services related to compliance with the biological and regulatory requirements associated with the projects.
Biological monitoring duties require in-field decision-making as well as oral and written communication skills.
Duties may include general and focused biological resource surveys, nest surveys and monitoring, habitat restoration monitoring, web-based reporting, and the use of ArcGIS GPS equipment for mapping identified biological resources.
Southern and/or Central California biological field experience required. Training will also be provided as needed.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Exercise safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
Participate in the company's continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
BS in biology, ecology, wetland science, plant ecology, or similar fields.
Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record per company standards
1-6 years of professional experience in biological surveys, biological/construction monitoring, or similar field/biological experience.
Proven familiarity with biological resources in Southern and/or Central California with a strength in botany, wildlife biology, and/or wetland ecology.
Basic understanding of FESA, CESA, CEQA, and NEPA.
Experience and training with ArcGIS and GPS technologies for large-scale biological resource inventories and conservation planning efforts.
Professional experience with one or more of these species is preferred: desert tortoise, Arroyo toad, red-legged frog, burrowing owl, coastal California gnatcatcher, least Bell's vireo, desert kit fox, Mohave ground squirrel, San Bernardino kangaroo rat, Stephen's kangaroo rat, as well as other special-status plant and wildlife species in southern and central California.
Experience with plant and wildlife on Catalina Island and Coastal Zone is preferred.
Professional experience with nest monitoring, construction monitoring and compliance, or habitat restoration is preferred.
Current/previous USFWS 10(a)(1)(A) Permit and current/previous CDFW Scientific Collecting Permits is preferred.
Ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
Ability to work remotely and independently with minimal supervision/direction.
Flexibility to adapt to changing document directives and deadlines.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university, preferably with a degree in criminal justice, social or another behavioral science.

General Qualifications

Under general supervision, Protective Service Workers perform professional investigation, case management, and casework services at the Family & Children's Services program. Education

Part-time Description
The Library Associate 2 is the entry level position in the Library Associate job family. Under direction from management, the Library Associate 2 performs a variety of moderately complex technical and paraprofessional duties in support of various sections/functions of the library; primarily at the circulation desk. Provides customer service to library patrons.
This Library Associate 2 is a programmer position that will be taking over the STEAM programming for ages 6-12. Schedule will vary and will include nights and weekends.
Hours worked per week: 25
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
Provides customer service by welcoming and registering patrons, issuing library cards, checking
out materials and managing patron accounts
Assists patrons with locating materials or the reference desk, using computers, or explaining
procedures (checking out, logging onto the Internet, making copies, etc.)
Checks in and processes library materials as necessary
Accepts and processes fines, fees, or other payments
Provides information regarding programs, events, conference rooms, etc.
Mails library materials as necessary for patron homebound programs
Shelves library materials
Addresses or escalates patron conduct or safety issues to appropriate management
Follow all legal and policy requirements related to patron privacy and custodianship of patron
records.
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
An individual should possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed and meet the amount of education,
training and/or work experience required.
H.S. Diploma or GED required
Two years library experience preferred
Basic knowledge of library systems and databases preferred
Ability to work a regular schedule that may include a combination of days, evenings and weekends
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
English/Spanish speaking is a plus
Physical Requirements
Must be able to frequently move from place to place within the location; file and retrieve books and other items on high shelves.
Lift/push up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 35 pounds. of heavy boxes, books, and equipment; work in confined spaces; walk; bend; stoop; reach; and climb.
