DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker is seeking an energetic, talented, and technically experienced planner, who is eager to learn, to be an integral member of the Agency Staffing Group in California. With moderate direct supervision, the Planner will assist our public agency clients with processing major land use entitlements, preparing zoning ordinances/ordinance amendments, conducting special planning studies, and performing other planning department functions. Responsibilities include:
Respond to public and developer inquiries regarding zoning and planning-related matters; support the daily operations of client one-stop permit centers.
Conduct site visits and gather relevant data to support application processing.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Urban Studies, Geography, or related discipline.
4+ years of relevant experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently as well as in multi-disciplinary teams.
Desire to produce first-class work products and a demonstrated personal commitment to accuracy and quality.

COMPENSATION

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Administrator to join our Cultural Arts practice. This role is ideal for someone passionate about architecture and the arts, with a strong background in construction documentation, site coordination, and client engagement. You will play a key role in ensuring that our cultural projects, museums, theaters, performance spaces, and art institutions are executed to the highest standards of design and construction quality.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day construction administration activities for cultural arts projects.
Work closely with Principal and senior leadership
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with design intent.
Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings in coordination with design teams.
Manage process of bulletins, sketches, etc.
Serve as the liaison between the architectural team, clients, contractors, and consultants during construction.
Facilitate construction meetings and prepare meeting minutes. Internally track RFI and Submittal logs
Ensure timely communication and resolution of field issues.
Maintain accurate records of project correspondence, changes, and field reports.
Assist in preparing punch lists and close-out documentation.
Ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards.
Advocate for the architectural vision and contract documents throughout the construction process.
Collaborate with design team members and consultants to resolve conflicts and maintain design excellence.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Architecture or related field.
5 10 years or more of experience in construction administration, preferably within cultural or institutional projects.
Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and architectural detailing.
Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. Pro Core, eBuilder, etc.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with AIA contract documents and construction processes.
Experience working on cultural arts facilities (e.g., museums, theaters, galleries).
LEED accreditation or knowledge of sustainable construction practices.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Must be a licensed

The Opportunity:
Healthcare Project Manager is a project leadership position with responsibility for architectural design and technical production of projects. Perkins Eastman covers multiple practice areas including education, healthcare, senior living and housing. We are seeking an individual with strong technical and communication skills working within the design team to create exemplary buildings to suit clients and users needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage the overall project through all design phases including client interaction, schedule and financial performance. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential.
Assist Principal-in-Charge with generating Design Services Proposals
Understand contracts and run projects from inception through to project closeout.
Manage project teams, determining staffing assignments required to meet project milestones.
Responsible for all aspects of project management including budgeting, staffing, billing and consultant billing.
Manage and/or generate details, both exterior and interior within a Revit context
Lead in coordination with consultants and design team
Coordinate material identification and specifications
Quality control of the contract documents
Lead all aspects of the Construction Administration phase including meetings, submittals and preparation of field sketches.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture is required.
Minimum of 10 years experience.
Must possess OSHPD/HCAI experience.
Must have experience with medium to large healthcare project.
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Familiarity with Deltek Vision Software a plus
Proficient with computer-assisted design software such as Revit and AutoCAD
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
Passion for and fundamental understanding of sustainable design.
CPHD, LEED and/or WELL accreditations, progress toward licensure (NCIDQ) are pluses.
License preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
OSHPD 1 and OSHPD 3 project experience is a must.
Must be able to interface with client and maintain the relationship while managing the project.
Must be able to put fee proposals together for projects.
Must have experience managing the project budget
Must be able to contribute towards RFPs.
Excellent communication skills is a must.
Manage and assign staff on the project.
(Design-Build experience is a plus)
Ability to do business development and bring in clients is a plus.

Michael Baker International is seeking a skilled Traffic Signal & ITS Systems Integration Specialist to join our growing team in Santa Ana, CA. This role is essential in supporting traffic signal and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) projects across multiple jurisdictions. You'll lead efforts in system integration, troubleshooting, and upgrades for traffic signal communications and control systems, while collaborating with local agencies and Caltrans to improve regional mobility. You'll also play a key role in mentoring staff and supporting team development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain, expand, and repair traffic signal communication and control systems.
Diagnose and resolve traffic flow and system issues; recommend and implement improvements.
Design and integrate ITS components including CCTV cameras, fiber optics, wireless interconnect, and Ethernet-based systems.
Upgrade and maintain central traffic management systems.
Collaborate with city engineers, technical staff, and Caltrans on multi-jurisdictional coordination and signal timing plans.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
7-10 years' experience with traffic signal systems and ITS technologies.

Familiarity with Caltrans standards and multi-agency coordination.
Ability to work collaboratively with public agencies and technical teams.
Experience with regional synchronization programs (e.g., RTSSP) preferred
Hands-on expertise in upgrading central traffic management systems preferred
Knowledge of serial and Ethernet-based communication systems preferred
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $120,000-$190,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate. This role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus based upon corporate and individual performance
