This role involves hands-on field work, equipment mounting, underground/overhead conduit installation, and system commissioning at facilities such as chemical plants, paper mills, mills, and high-security industrial sites. Technicians must be able to work safely in active plant environments, follow established procedures, and coordinate with project teams, site leadership, and client safety personnel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Install access control equipment, including HID card readers, RFID systems, intercoms, and turnstiles · Install and configure industrial surveillance systems, including high-definition cameras, thermal cameras, VMS systems, and analytics platforms · Perform fiber optic installation, trenching, conduit installation (underground and aerial), cable pulling, and termination · Install backup power systems, solar-powered components, and related electrical infrastructure · Install traffic lights, vehicle detection systems, forklift warning systems, warehouse safety systems, and overhead screen door systems · Install and service perimeter security systems, including sliding gates, bifold gates, automated arms, and bollards · Perform site work including trenching, demolition, ground preparation, concrete forming/pouring, and foundation installation · Maintain compliance with all safety standards, including daily safety procedures and OSHA requirements · Document work completed, track materials, and provide accurate feedback to supervisors and project managers · Support commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and system verification · Communicate directly with clients, respond to service needs, and maintain strong, positive customer relationships through professional communication and follow-through · Representing IET Systems professionally while working at customer sites Qualifications: · 1-3 years of experience in electrical, low-voltage, networking, or industrial construction (required) · Experience installing conduit, pulling wire, terminating devices, or mounting equipment · Strong understanding of industrial safety practices and regulatory compliance with regulatory testing through ISNetworld. · Excellent communication and problem-solving skills · OSHA 10 certification (preferred) · Experience operating small equipment (scissor lift) is a plus · Fiber, CCTV, access control, or gate automation experience preferred · Valid Driver's License (required) · Ability to pass background checks and meet industrial facility access requirements · Ability to communicate professionally, and maintain high-quality long-term customer relationships Benefits: · Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance · 6 Paid Holidays + PTO accrual · 401(k) with company match · Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance · Opportunities for advancement and skill development · Training in critical-infrastructure security, networks, and electrical systems Job Type: · Full-time · Travel required (regional travel to industrial sites; expenses paid) · In-person work at customer facilities and job sites Location: · Mobile, AL (Preferred) · Ability to relocate before starting work (Required) Willingness to travel: · 25%-50% (Required) typically home every night, must have reliable transportation to home office then move to company vehicle
