Torch Technologies is seeking a Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Engineer 4 to provide Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A). The position requires an individual possessing a wide range of skills and demonstrated experience in MS&A in support of military strategies, plans, operations, assessments, and Department of War (DoW) objectives. In this role, you will identify technology to model space warfighting capabilities within models/tools currently available, and identify applications, application programming interfaces (APIs), and/or M&S tools to accommodate the inclusion of space warfighting capabilities within the Digital Engineering Ecosystem of the future.
This position specifically emphasizes modeling and simulation expertise for radar and satellite systems, with particular value placed on system of systems expertise related to Missile Defense Agency (MDA) experience. The role requires deep understanding of distributed M&S architectures and associated complexities related to time management, truth scene generation, and complex system-of-systems interactions.
As a Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Engineer 4 your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
* Provide requirements recommendations for future updates to analytical models, methods, and M&S tools, with specific focus on radar and satellite system modeling
* Augment tool requirement development through mission research and analysis and produce COAs for developing new analytical models and tools
* Capture requirements for existing MS&A tools like AFRL's AFSIM, or SDMC's EADSIM to add space effects and radar/satellite capabilities

* Create analytical models and simulations for complex radar and satellite systems
* Analyze space system operational, technical, programmatic, and acquisition inputs and formulate recommendations for senior leader consideration
* Brief and interact with senior-level officers (i.e., GO/FLAG) and senior civilians
* Lead requirements development and documentation for distributed M&S architectures
Required Qualifications:
* U.S. Citizenship
* A Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, modeling and simulation, operations research, engineering, mathematics, physics, or related STEM field (master's degree highly preferred)
* 8+ years system design experience, including hardware/software integration
* Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in at least one of the following:
* Modeling and simulation development and implementation
* Radar systems analysis and simulation

* Active TS/SCI clearance is required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and frequently serves as the technical authority for Combatant Commanders Integrated Command and Control System (CCIC2S) Missile Warning, Missile Warning Missile Track (MWMT), Space Directed Energy Confliction (DECON), and other Space Command and Control (C2) systems, encompassing the Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR), Cobra Dane, PARCS, among others.
Conduct data analysis and apply knowledge of engineering technology under the direction of engineering staff. These tasks include test and evaluation, test support, logistics, sustainment, operations analyses, technical studies, and various analyses and support activities including program/system security.
Assist in the development of system requirements, performance measures, test phase entry/exit criteria, and analysis of design constraints functional capabilities, and metrics.
Support DT&E, Risk Reduction Testing (RRT) and certification for test readiness; identify deficiencies, verify compliance with specifications and standards, and assess stability of various system configurations.
Support senior engineers when interacting with System Program Offices, other services, and development contractors.
Prepare, execute, review, and analyze test plans, procedures, metrics, and reports throughout the software development life cycle. Develop and write methods of tests, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), test cases, test objectives/procedures, test directives, technical or letter reports, analysis and review of requirements, and other test process documents as required in the conduct of testing.
Coordinate schedules, pre-and post-test activities, logistics of test planning, and test results.
Travel up to 20% of time to contractors' facilities, test sites, and other locations (OCONUS and CONUS).

Torch Technologies is seeking a Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Engineer 4 to provide Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A). The position requires an individual possessing a wide range of skills and demonstrated experience in MS&A in support of military strategies, plans, operations, assessments, and Department of War (DoW) objectives. In this role, you will identify technology to model space warfighting capabilities within models/tools currently available, and identify applications, application programming interfaces (APIs), and/or M&S tools to accommodate the inclusion of space warfighting capabilities within the Digital Engineering Ecosystem of the future.
This position specifically emphasizes modeling and simulation expertise for radar and satellite systems, with particular value placed on system of systems expertise related to Missile Defense Agency (MDA) experience. The role requires deep understanding of distributed M&S architectures and associated complexities related to time management, truth scene generation, and complex system-of-systems interactions.
As a Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Engineer 4 your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
Provide requirements recommendations for future updates to analytical models, methods, and M&S tools, with specific focus on radar and satellite system modeling
Augment tool requirement development through mission research and analysis and produce COAs for developing new analytical models and tools
Capture requirements for existing MS&A tools like AFRL's AFSIM, or SDMC's EADSIM to add space effects and radar/satellite capabilities
Develop and implement distributed M&S frameworks addressing time synchronization, truth scene generation, and multi-system integration challenges
Develop a plan to refine prototype modeling applications including relevant understanding of graphical user interfaces to refine data requirements, employment procedures, and usability for end-user
Coordinate with others to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives
Create analytical models and simulations for complex radar and satellite systems
Analyze space system operational, technical, programmatic, and acquisition inputs and formulate recommendations for senior leader consideration
Brief and interact with senior-level officers (i.e., GO/FLAG) and senior civilians
Lead requirements development and documentation for distributed M&S architectures
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
A Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, modeling and simulation, operations research, engineering, mathematics, physics, or related STEM field (master's degree highly preferred)
8+ years system design experience, including hardware/software integration
Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in at least one of the following:
Modeling and simulation development and implementation
Radar systems analysis and simulation
Satellite systems modeling and operations
Active TS/SCI clearance is required
Proven experience in M&S requirements development and technical documentation
Expert-level understanding of distributed M&S architectures including:
Time management and synchronization protocols
Truth scene generation and management
Complex system-of-systems interactions and integration
Understanding of military space operations (Space Domain Awareness (SDA); Command & Control (C2); Satellite Communications (SATCOM); Position, Navigation & Timing (PNT); Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR); Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR); Missile Warning (MW); Offensive Space Control (OSC) and Defensive Space Control (DSC); and Missile Defense (MD); etc.)
Proficiency in programming languages or statistical packages: R, Python, MATLAB, SAS, JAVA, JMP, Excel VBA, STORM, SEAS, Power BI, Tableau, Qlick, SPSS, PSPP, and SymPy
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise on analytic tool characterization, development and assessment
Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data
Knowledge of modeling and analysis using mathematical/quantitative methods
Expertise using the Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially when communicating technical information to audiences with varying backgrounds

Salary Range - Colorado: $135,000-155,000
