Responsibilities:
Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes
Spend time consulting with customers on repair and safety related issues
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
Generate sales leads during service calls
Accurately and neatly document on the service report for the work performed.
New crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Travel may be required. Work vehicle provided.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory, as well as the ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3 phase motor control systems. A.A. degree or Equivalent vocational-training or experience is preferred.
A minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance
Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments as well as familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment
Willingness to work overtime
Possession of a valid driver's license with good driving record
Must pass drug-screen and background check
Strong communication skills

Comfort with working at heights
Experience in Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus

What Will You Do

Installation and maintenance of coaxial and DC power/fiber optic transmission lines.

General Purpose:

The seed technician is an individual that will understand all aspects of seed production. It can consist of seed conditioning, cleaning, grading, and overall maintenance work in the conditioning facility. It can include outside work from spring through fall to help implement the procedures of field inspecting, bulk receiving of the seed crop. This position can include shift work, weekends, and holidays during critical times if necessary. The individual should have a good mechanical aptitude. The individual must be able to work together with others, yet when asked, have the ability to complete tasks on their own and on time.
Assumes responsibility for the effective, efficient, and accurate performance of seed corn production
Understanding the grower to company relationship.
Ability to ensure quality and purity in areas of responsibility.
Communicating effectively and positively to all company and outside people.
Ability to inspect fields for purity, insects, weeds, and diseases.
Ability to understand and operate conditioning equipment in seed plant.
Follows company policies and procedures for both safety and quality.
Understanding and following shipping procedures for accurate deliveries and returns.
Maintaining efficient use of time to ensure company profitability.
Performing additional duties as directed by Department supervisor.
Requirements:
Agricultural Background

Position Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes
Spend time consulting with customers on repair and safety related issues
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
Generate sales leads during service calls
Accurately and neatly document on the service report for the work performed.
New crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Some travel maybe required
Required Skills/Abilities
Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory, as well as the ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3 phase motor control systems. A.A. degree or Equivalent vocational-training or experience is preferred.
A minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance and/or equivalent military experience
Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments as well as familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment
Willingness to work overtime
Possession of a valid driver's license with good driving record
Must pass drug-screen and background check
Strong communication skills
Proven commitment to safety
Comfort with working at heights
Experience in Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus
Crane maintenance experience a plus.
