With general supervision, assists veterinarians and researchers in diagnostic, surgical and preventative procedures, as well as radiology, animal care, and medical treatments. Observes animals in assigned areas and reports abnormalities, sickness, or injury. Assists with postoperative care and monitors the condition of assigned animals. Maintains required records including data collection and entry. Assists with inventory of medical, pharmacy and sterile supplies. Provides non-surgical technical assistance to researchers as directed. Assists with scheduling and study planning. Performs related responsibilities as required.
