We provide door-to-door service, best efforts must be made to make pick ups and drop offs as close to the specified location as possible. Possess knowledge, skills and ability to safely and completely operate any of our Transit vehicles on any of our routes as assigned during shift. Possess a thorough understanding of wheelchair lift operations and ability to operate wheelchair lifts on all Transit vehicles. Possess a thorough understanding of streets and landmarks in the service area of all system routes, all subscribed service routes, and any other scheduled stops. Communicate effectively with Transit dispatch via two-way radio or cell phone. Maintain a clean vehicle, both interior and exterior to ensure client safety, neat appearance and protect equipment. Responsible for handling routine maintenance such as checking oil and other fluid levels on a daily basis, adhering to preventative maintenance schedules and reporting any extensive maintenance issues to Transit Dispatch/Technician/Operations Supervisor. Operators will assist Technician with scheduling of vehicle repair and maintenance as requested. Ensure vehicle fuel level is full at the end of shift. Ensure the vehicle is locked and secured when unattended. Ensure current insurance and registration papers are on-board. Ensure Safety supplies and equipment are maintained in assigned vehicle and in proper working order at all times. Responsible for recording passenger pick up and drop off times, passenger statistics, and fares paid on daily trip manifest. All money collected will be turned in at the end of the shift to Dispatch or the Operations Supervisor for deposit. Provide assistance to passengers boarding and disembarking the Transit vehicle to guarantee client safety. Operators may be asked to assist passengers with carrying parcels such as groceries or laundry, etc., assistance may be provided at the operators' discretion per the passenger carry on policy. Passengers are not to be left on board while the vehicle is unattended. Maintain a positive attitude and address clients politely at all times. Display patience and kindness, as many of our passengers require additional attention. Dress appropriately for work. Operators will maintain a clean and professional appearance. Responsible for the completion of all assigned paperwork in a timely manner, ensuring all information to be complete and accurate. We will teach you! **Job Functions** : + General customer service duties including, but not limited to, taking customer food orders, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. + Balancing a cash register and offering additional sales opportunities to customers. + Accurately and safely prepare customer orders from various preparation points within the kitchen to include, but not limited to, a sandwich making line, a fry station, a grill station, or other station depending on the restaurant concept type. + Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure proper food safety conditions within the restaurant to ensure delivery of a fresh and safe product to the customer. + Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles. + Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds.
