The Sr Warehouse Associate performs receiving, stock keeping, picking, packing, and shipping activities. Also responsible for counter sales, housekeeping and related quality assurance activities. Exhibits a higher level of responsibility.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Physically handle incoming shipments
- Verify purchased products and enter order receipts into WESCOM as requires.
- Perform special customer quality assurance inspections when appropriate.
- Segregate backorders and place received materials in proper locations
- Pull, pack, weigh and label materials for shipment; prepare bills of lading and express receipts.
- Assist in loading trucks.
- Prepare local delivery records
- Maintain Return Material Authorization/Credit Memo (RMA/CM) forms pending return of materials.
- Inspect returned materials before completing balance of RMA/CM.
- Put all materials in correct location.
- Sweep/clean warehouse and trucking/parking area.
- Assemble/disassemble bins, racks, shelves, and tables as needed.
- Administer preventative maintenance programs to delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety practices for warehouse operations.
- Record verbal/written complaints from customers concerning dissatisfaction with product or service provided.
- Sell, assemble and pack over the counter sales.
- Assist in handling telephone inquiries/orders directed to the counter.
- Maintain counter stock as needed.

PHYSICAL
Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. Work is physically strenuous and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds.
Work may require excessive bending or stooping.
Employee required to climb ladders.
Employee required to use hand tools.
Employee uses heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, etc.).

**Pay Details:** $19.00 per hour

**ROTATIONAL SCHEDULE:** **_This is a year-round position; current rotation is 3 months on and 1 month away from the site_**
**In this role, you will:**
+ Provide on-site shipping and receiving materials and construction equipment.
+ Provide on-site inventory control and management of all SERCO assets.
+ Provide on-site tools management.
+ Provide on-site hazardous material inventory, control and overall management.
+ Provide on-site flammable storage inventory and control of all flammable materials and liquids.
+ Assist the SERCO travel office with housing arrangements for arriving workforce personnel, to include meal card distribution, room preparation prior to arrival, and return flight coordination.
+ Maintain inventory status in Serco's warehouse management software suite.
+ Initiate purchase requests for site supplies and misc. materials.
+ Proactively resolve material and logistical problems or issues with the Serco management team and other subcontractors.
+ Work with Serco's vehicle supplier to coordinate vehicle use and transport of personnel to and from the site.
+ Coordinate shipping plans and documentation with other Serco warehouse sites as necessary.
+ Track and report large purchase order status as necessary with support from Serco's purchasing group.
+ Be present at the work site, attend and report weekly plan updates as it pertains to logistic, hazardous material or flammable container issues.
+ The logistician typically reports to the Site Superintendent or Project Manager.
**To be successful in this role, you will have:**
+ **Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance**
+ **U.S Citizenship required**
+ Ability to travel over 90% of the time
+ Valid U.S Passport required (more than 6 months from expiration date)
+ A High School diploma and technical training in construction or technical field

+ Experience with CostPoint inventory software, or similar applications

Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education):

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise, schedule, train and evaluate dispatchers and assist the Logistics Manager with hiring and evaluating dispatchers.
Oversee the daily functions within the department, assigning unrouted work, and monitor all routes to ensure completion.
Ensure all calls and emails are responded to same day.
Review future work and communicate with Operations management to ensure drivers and equipment are available to cover the workload.
Utilize route data management procedures and technologies to provide drivers with route information and ensure collection of the associated route data.
Monitor daily and weekly driver hours to ensure compliance with the Company's hour limits and Department of Transportation (DOT) hours of service regulations.
Coordinate with appropriate personnel in order to ensure that any underutilized, or unutilized company driver and truck resources are identified.
Work with appropriate personnel to ensure that drivers perform in accordance with Company and DOT standards.
Collaborate with the Logistics Manager and Operations managers to resolve escalated service issues and assist all system dispatchers to trouble shoot routing, driver, tablet or vehicle issues.
Assist the Logistics Manager with developing and maintaining training materials for dispatchers, including onboard computer tools.
Assist the Logistics Manager with the daily workflow of the department, including ensuring scheduled shifts are covered.
Review daily work orders for all systems and ensure routed for completion.
Provide feedback and support for departmental evaluations.
Oversee incoming and outgoing inventory at company sites and coordinate with the Maintenance Department to ensure resources are available and ready for deployment.
Compile weekly container counts from remote yards and coordinate with the Logistics department on delivery and termination of inventory
Provide best practices information and tailgate topics for team meetings.
Attend monthly safety meetings.
Ensure all drivers logs and files are posted in time for monthly billing.
