Review future work and communicate with Operations management to ensure drivers and equipment are available to cover the workload.
Utilize route data management procedures and technologies to provide drivers with route information and ensure collection of the associated route data.
Monitor daily and weekly driver hours to ensure compliance with the Company's hour limits and Department of Transportation (DOT) hours of service regulations.
Coordinate with appropriate personnel in order to ensure that any underutilized, or unutilized company driver and truck resources are identified.
Work with appropriate personnel to ensure that drivers perform in accordance with Company and DOT standards.
Collaborate with the Logistics Manager and Operations managers to resolve escalated service issues and assist all system dispatchers to trouble shoot routing, driver, tablet or vehicle issues.
Assist the Logistics Manager with developing and maintaining training materials for dispatchers, including onboard computer tools.
Assist the Logistics Manager with the daily workflow of the department, including ensuring scheduled shifts are covered.
Review daily work orders for all systems and ensure routed for completion.
Provide feedback and support for departmental evaluations.
Oversee incoming and outgoing inventory at company sites and coordinate with the Maintenance Department to ensure resources are available and ready for deployment.
Compile weekly container counts from remote yards and coordinate with the Logistics department on delivery and termination of inventory
Provide best practices information and tailgate topics for team meetings.
Attend monthly safety meetings.
Ensure all drivers logs and files are posted in time for monthly billing.
Effectively communicate escalate issues and pertinent information to appropriate managers.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or its equivalent
At least one year of supervisory experience
At least one year of dispatching and/or waste industry experience
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram format
Must have leadership, coordination, and planning skills
Proficiency using internet mapping programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to achieve proficiency with data management software and applications utilized for dispatch processes
Verbal and written fluency in English
Available to work scheduled shifts, including nights, holidays and weekends
Knowledge of safety practices, accident management and commercial driver's license regulations
