Position Profile
Weaver is looking for a Real Estate Valuations Manager or Senior Manager to join our growing team. The Real Estate Valuations Manager or Senior Manager will plan, supervise and review multiple engagements and other client assignments such as real estate appraisals for financial and tax reporting purposes, mortgage-based lending, and purchase decisions. They will provide consulting and/or real estate valuation services in connection with sale/leaseback analyses, purchase price allocations, and fairness opinions.
To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business or equivalent required
* Licensed Certified General Appraiser in at least one (1) state
* 5-10 years of experience in public accounting, national valuation, investment or commercial banking or equivalent work experience
* Proficiency in creating discounted cash flow models in Argus Enterprise
* Proficiency in commercial lease extraction, identifying key valuation related metrics
* Proficiency in analyzing historical financial statements and budgets to project future property-level expenses
Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred:
* Master's degree

Position Profile
Weaver is seeking an Audit Senior to join our Energy team! An Audit Senior leads key aspects of larger, more complex engagements and serves as the in-charge professional. They demonstrate strong command of technical accounting guidance under GAAP and SEC frameworks, and they apply a solid understanding of generally accepted auditing standards, as well as advanced audit procedures and techniques for complex financial statement areas. Weaver's ECS practice is dedicated to helping businesses navigate compliance with evolving regulations and identify opportunities for growth in complex markets. The Associate will work in a physical office setting (Houston, TX). This position will require up to 10% travel annually.

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited University
Grade point average of 3.3 or higher

Position Profile
Weaver is seeking talented professionals to join our growing Energy Compliance Services (ECS) team. Many of the environmental programs we focus on within our ECS practice are rooted in managing the human impact on the environment, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing sustainability. We have substantial expertise and experience with transportation fuel regulations, including petroleum-based fuels as well as renewable fuels.
The Senior Associate Chemical Engineer will be responsible for leading assurance and consulting engagements that generally relate to regulatory compliance. Day-to-day work will include assisting with and supervising engineering reviews, conducting on-site inspections of renewable fuel production facilities, and performing mass and energy balance calculations. They will also prepare client-ready deliverables and provide clients with regular status updates for ongoing projects. They will work closely with leadership in a physical office setting (Houston, Denver, or San Diego) in order to execute plans effectively.
This is an opportunity that will require up to 15% travel to clients in the U.S.
To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited University

How Will You Make an Impact?
* Assume full responsibility for planning and executing client engagements and assignments using established firm policies and procedures, including supervising and training associates, reviewing the work of associates, and communication with clients
* Review and participate in monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting cycles and prepare financial statements
* Reconciling accounts receivable balances resulting from revenue bookings
* Trend analyses and explanation of large swings in the revenue bookings
* Timely and accurately record oil, gas, and NGL sales for multiple entities - operated
* Prepare revenue allocations as required
* Complete severance tax reports and payments for multiple states
* Prepare federal (ONRR) and state royalty reporting and payments
* Responsible for other state filing requirements such as quarterly withholding and annual reconciliations
* Integrate acquisitions
* Journal entries as necessary, including accruals
* Communicates effectively with employees in areas of operations/engineering, land and management as well as purchasers
* Train and mentor less experienced team members
* Participate in firm committees, departmental matters, learning experiences, etc. that increase your commitment and capability within the firm

How Will You Get Here?
* 3-5 years of experience in Energy accounting and analysis, demonstrating a progression in complexity, and scope.
* Oil & Gas Accounting Knowledge specifically Upstream/E&P experience required
* BA or Master's in accounting or financial management
* CPA or CPA eligibility preferred
* Proficiency in the use of technology and accounting programs
* Familiar with "Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) specifically as they relate to Oil & Gas Accounting
* Familiarity with Impairment, and other industry-specific calculations

Position Profile
Weaver is seeking talented professionals to join our growing Energy Compliance Services (ECS) team. Weaver's ECS practice is dedicated to helping businesses navigate compliance with evolving regulations, including regulations governed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board, as well as other various states and provinces. Many of the environmental programs we focus on within our ECS practice are rooted in managing the human impact on the environment, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing sustainability. We have substantial expertise and experience with transportation fuel regulations, including petroleum-based fuels as well as renewable fuels.
The ECS Supervisor Chemical Engineer will be responsible for leading assurance and consulting engagements that generally relate to regulatory compliance. They will be responsible for developing expertise in technical laws and regulations related to the ECS practice. Day-to-day work will include assisting with and supervising engineering reviews, conducting on-site inspections of renewable fuel production facilities, and performing mass and energy balance calculations. They will also prepare client-ready deliverables, assist in preparation of annual template updates, and provide client billing and other status updates. They will work closely with leadership either in a physical office setting (Houston, Denver, or San Diego) or remotely from our Virtual Office in order to execute plans effectively.
This is an opportunity that will require up to 20% travel to clients in the U.S.
To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited University
4+ years of experience in the chemical engineering field, with a solid background in project management, consulting, regulatory compliance, and/or client relations

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field preferred
At least 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field
1 year supervisory experience preferred
CPA candidates preferred
Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally

Essential Functions and Primary Duties
Supervise all aspects of accounting, tax or audit engagements for clients including status updates to engagement managers and adhere to all quality control standards as required
Develop a thorough understanding of the client's business, contributing to the analysis and planning of client engagements
Adhere to engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks within the time requested, and explain variances when needed
Achieve charge hour goals
Review engagement team members accounting, tax or auditing work: provide constructive review points
Supervise and guide team members on engagements, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
Train and mentor engagement team members, supporting their technical and professional development
Assist in the client billing process with Managers, Directors or Managing Directors
Identify an industry or area of specialization and develop skills, knowledge and expertise in that area
Leverage industry knowledge and business acumen blending cross serve opportunities into client engagements
Participate in practice development activities, such as membership in qualified organizations, capable of referring potential engagements
Execute administrative duties as assigned
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of accounting principles and auditing/tax standards to effectively supervise staff and solve routing engagement problems.
Experience with accounting software.
Solid organization skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task.

Position Profile
Weaver is looking for a Transaction Advisory Services Manager to join our growing firm. Weaver's Transaction Advisory Services team is a high-performing team widely recognized for delivering exceptional attention to detail and a personal level of service. Our size enables us to be more nimble and responsive while servicing clients with transaction sizes ranging from $1 million to over $500 million.
A Transaction Advisory Services Manager at Weaver assists in the strategic development and execution of an appropriate transaction structure, including the execution of financial due diligence. The Manager works to understand profit drivers and trends, assists with purchase agreements and post-closing transaction matters. A Manager is responsible for identifying issues for purchase price reductions, deal structuring or deal termination, and post-acquisition action steps to achieve anticipated earnings/cash flow improvements. The Manager is responsible for the overall engagement quality and timeline. They will assist in the review of databook and reports prepared by Associates and Senior Associates. The Manager will prepare client ready deliverables. A Weaver Manager is an excellent communicator and team leader, and is able to manage and develop staff.
To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting
* CPA required
* 5 + years of experience in transaction advisory services/financial due diligence, or mergers and acquisitions transactions
* Demonstrate an advanced understanding of technical accounting literature with GAAP
* Possess experience with due diligence engagements related to acquisitions by private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers, analyzing financial/operational results of targets through reviewing accounting records and conducting interviews with management, and preparing pro forma financial information
* Demonstrates independent thinking and strong decision-making skills

Position Profile
Weaver is seeking talented professionals to join our growing Energy Compliance Services (ECS) team. Weaver's ECS practice is dedicated to helping businesses navigate compliance with evolving regulations, including regulations governed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board, as well as other various states and provinces. Many of the environmental programs we focus on within our ECS practice are rooted in managing the human impact on the environment, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing sustainability. We have substantial expertise and experience with transportation fuel regulations, including petroleum-based fuels as well as renewable fuels.
The Senior Associate Chemical Engineer will be responsible for leading assurance and consulting engagements that generally relate to regulatory compliance. Day-to-day work will include assisting with and supervising engineering reviews, conducting on-site inspections of renewable fuel production facilities, and performing mass and energy balance calculations. They will also prepare client-ready deliverables and provide clients with regular status updates for ongoing projects. They will work closely with leadership in a physical office setting (Houston, Denver, or San Diego) in order to execute plans effectively.
This is an opportunity that will require up to 15% travel to clients in the U.S.
To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited University
* 2+ years of experience in the chemical engineering field, with a solid background in project management, consulting, regulatory compliance, and/or client relations
* Currently holds EIT license
* Experience performing mass and energy balance calculations
* Experience interpreting and preparing block flow diagrams (BFDs), process flow diagrams (PFDs), and process descriptions
* Demonstrates independent thinking and strong decision-making skills
* Excellent writing and presentation skills
* Adjusts style of working to collaborate effectively with others who have a different perspective or style
