This Opportunity
kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company, is currently looking for an **Assistant Vice President, Project Manager** for our **Tempe, AZ, Atlanta, GA, Milwaukee, WI, Herndon, VA,** or **Troy, NY** office. As a Senior Project Manager with us, you will lead a diverse group of engineers from project initiation through completion with minimal oversight. This includes regular communications and coordination with clients, managing expectations, writing, and managing proposals, creating change orders, composing budgets, invoicing and project closeout.
Your Impact
+ Lead multi-disciplinary teams of Engineers, Designers and other staff through completion of multiple simultaneous projects ranging from small to large with a wide range of complexities and requirements
+ Independently prepare project work plans, proposals, and schedules, and obtain management/client approval
+ Lead and initiate regular communications with clients regarding project status and project quality, and proactively resolve issues
+ Manage relationships with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients and vendors, regulatory authorities and technical agencies, and the public. This involves keeping the stakeholders informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables, and meet the project schedule
+ Address change management matters promptly and professionally with clients and internal departments
+ Maintain awareness of project budget maintenance, key performance indicators and forecasting
+ Lead and manage business development initiatives including Requests for Qualifications and Requests for Proposals
+ Compile a comprehensive and realistic scope of work, and prepare a complete and accurate fee estimate, in a format suitable for obtaining the required management approvals
+ As Team Leader, provide mentoring, assistance, encouragement and motivation to team members and junior Project Managers
+ Provide strong administrative and technical leadership for the project and maintain all project records and monitor correspondence
+ Schedule and facilitate all project meetings required to successfully coordinate work activity
+ Administer subconsultant agreements as assigned. Have thorough knowledge of the company's contracts and understanding of all parties involved.
+ Implement and manage the kW Quality Control Plan for each project
+ Proactively track and report workload management throughout the project
+ Manage client and subconsultant invoicing
Who You Are
The ideal candidate has experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in an engineering consulting environment. Candidate thrives in an extremely fast-paced and ever-changing environment requiring flexibility, pivoting, and an open-minded approach and has experience working in a client-facing role requiring extensive communication and knowledge of costing, budgets, and scheduling and/or resourcing.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree
+ 10+ years of experience in Project and/or Program Management and experience on large, engineering and/or construction projects?

Responsibilities

Interpret redlines, markups, and design guidance to develop drawing packages with minimal supervision
Manage model content, views, and templates in accordance with project-specific BIM Execution Plans
Follow internal production standards and contribute to model QA/QC to ensure drawing clarity, internal consistency, and client compliance

The role of a Project Engineer with our Water Team is a dynamic position well suited to an individual who is good at managing multiple tasks and deadlines and working with multi-disciplinary teams. The candidate may be working independently on smaller projects or providing support to a team of professionals on larger projects. The candidate should be able to evaluate, select, specify, and engineer systems or products for a project, and will perform a variety of tasks which may include calculations, design sketches and concepts, report preparation and field work. Projects assigned may be broad, varied and diverse in scope. Our group is involved in a wide range of water infrastructure projects, including sewer and water main of both large and small diameter systems, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Manages project technical tasks including completing design work, calculations, writing specifications and technical reports on a wide range of civil infrastructure projects generally involving sanitary & storm sewer, water main design, pump stations, wastewater resource recovery facilities, water treatment facilities, and stormwater management/drainage plans.
* Coordinates design and report deliverable packages for submission to clients and/or approval authorities.
* Coordinate with the Project Manager and attend meetings with the client, team members and sub-consultants.
* Understands and implements industry standards and manuals as well as client and regulatory agencies standards and requirements.
* Assist in the preparation of engineering project documents, client presentations, client contact and communication pertaining to specific project deliverables.
* Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
* Prepare engineering documents and contract documents by developing construction specifications, plans and schedules.
* Evaluates, selects, specifies, and engineers process mechanical systems or products for a project.
* Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects.
* Assist in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other contract administration tasks.
* Participate in basic cost estimating under the direction of technical leaders to support engineering projects.
* Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff.
* Involvement in regional industry professional associations.
* All other duties as required and assigned.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
* Demonstrated efficient task management and technical execution of assigned tasks on multiple concurrent projects.
* Broad, general understanding of many relevant areas of municipal engineering, hydraulics, and process mechanical systems design with respect to materials as well as industry standards.
* General understanding of various construction means and methods and their disturbance impacts on the project site.
* Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of design and construction codes.
* Strong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
* Proficient with of Microsoft Office Suite. Basic understanding of Revit is a plus.
* Developing cooperative skills in working efficiently within a team.
* Must have good driving record, and valid driver's license.
* Strong presentation and communication skills.
Education and Experience
* Education: Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
* Experience: Minimum of seven years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
* Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to successfully obtain within twelve (12) months.

Pay Range:
* Locations in MN, OH, VT, & Various CA, NY Areas - Min Salary $ 107,100.00 - Max Salary $ 160,700.00
* Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas - Min Salary $ 117,800.00 - Max Salary $ 176,800.00
* Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA areas - Min Salary $ 126,400.00 - Max Salary $ 189,600.00
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
