As the President & CTO at Y Media Labs, I'm responsible for all software engineering & development, creative, quality engineering, PM and Architecture across all engineering functions for the company's predominant Fortune 500 and technology startups client base. In this role, I've also grown the company to over 450+ employees and have helped built award winning products on digital platforms that have received worldwide press and also several awards from Apple Inc.

Stephen is YML’s Chief Creative Officer, responsible for the global creative vision of the agency, including UX design, visual design, and UX copy. He leads all the client work, including The Home Depot, State Farm, First Republic Bank, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Molekule, Apple and more.

Formerly Stephen was a co-founder of Junior: the Rapid Invention Company, a product design accelerator for big brands, and he was the Executive Creative Director of AKQA, San Francisco where he led a multi-discipline team of 80+. Stephen has over 15 years industry experience working at the top of the game. An accomplished product design and innovation leader, he has created breakthrough work for brands such as The Home Depot, State Farm, Activision, Anheuser-Busch, Audi, Jordan, Levi’s, NVIDIA, Verizon, Xbox, and YouTube to name a few.

Some of the most innovative and inspiring work of the last decade can be attributed to Stephen. He helped bring the 10k race to London for Nike by way of Nike Run London. He created the future of the TV interface for Xbox 360, and helped design and launch XboxLIVE. He reimagined the automotive digital ecosystem for AudiUSA, creating \'the R8 of digital experiences\'. He made “the world’s coolest basketball court” for Nike’s Jordan, at the All Star Weekend in New York. And, he brought “ Beer on-demand\' to the world, with the Bud Light Button, for Anheuser Busch.

Stephen’s work has featured in Wired, Forbes, BBC, WSJ, PSFK, the New York Times, USA Today, and it’s been joked about on Conan O’Brien. His efforts have been recognized in global awards shows, including Cannes, One Show, ADC, D&AD, the Addys, the Webbys, and the Effies.

Stephen also has a product of his own (called Monty: a chatbot sommelier). In his free time, Stephen likes surfing, rock climbing, Burningman (don’t ask), and art. Prior to all this, Stephen was an architect and he still takes his wife on field trips to look at buildings, which she tolerates.
