Position Overview: As a substance abuse counselor, you will play a crucial role in our clients' journey to recovery, providing psychotherapy and support within a structured, therapeutic environment. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of roughly 6-7 clients at a time. This includes one on one sessions, biopsychosocial assessments, and treatment planning. Core Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' psychological, emotional, and behavioral issues related to substance abuse. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and clients' specific needs, strengths, and preferences. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to promote recovery, coping strategies, and healthy behaviors. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to treatment. Maintain timely and accurate records of clients' progress, treatment plans, and sessions according to facility protocols and confidentiality laws. Facilitate psychoeducational groups and workshops on topics related to addiction, recovery, stress management, and relapse prevention. Participate in continuous professional development and training to stay current with trends and best practices in substance abuse treatment. Offer crisis intervention services as needed and coordinate with external resources to provide comprehensive care. Adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines as outlined by relevant licensing boards and the facility's policies. On-Call Responsibilities: Serve on a weekly rotating on-call schedule to provide phone support and crisis intervention after hours. Respond promptly to calls from clients and staff, offering guidance, support, and coordination of emergency services as necessary. Responsibilities Program Overview Our LifeSet Transitional Living Specialists provide their 16-22 year old clients with the knowledge to utilize all available community resources.
