Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs activities related to the set-up and operating the Finishing Machines following written procedures and instructions. Maintain material quality throughout the slitting operation assuring print position, roll conformation and implementation of the hold procedure when necessary. Identify and remove defective material utilizing flagging and inspection procedures. Follow shop packet instructions and complete line verification forms. Read and follow written procedures and instructions as required. Label, sleeve and box finished goods. Maintain an organized, clean and safe working environment. Responsible for making time and quantity entries into the shop floor computer system. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications: Web Handling fundamentals. Beginner level computer skills. English language verbal and written communication skills. High school math skills, Demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Performs quality inspections making visual checks to assure compliance with specifications; examines parts for surface defects and damage. Performs quality control using custom measuring equipment such as calipers, gauges, etc. Immediately reports errors in production and performance to Manufacturing Supervisor / Area Technical Lead Operates manual and semiautomatic machines. Operates metal cutting equipment such as milling machines, lathes, saw, etc. Can understand and follows the standard operating procedures including inspections and other instructions.
