Land & Development Support

Lender & Compliance Management

Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements
Manage and update internal control policies, guidelines and procedures for accounting and cash and credit management
Support external and internal audits as well as DCAA submissions and other external data requests
Lead the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes, with a strong focus on automation and efficiency
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
BS in Accounting required, CPA strongly preferred
7 years of relevant management experience within an accounting organization
5 years of recent US Government contracting experience, including strong working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Service Contract Act (SCA), can be concurrent with management experience
Strong leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor people and teams
Prior M&A due diligence and post-acquisition integration experience strongly preferred
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Strong proficiency with Deltek Costpoint and COGNOS required, proficiency with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) is a plus
Expert proficiency using Microsoft Excel. Strong proficiency using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

The Area AccountingManager will plan and direct the accounting activities of the department. In this role you will manage the accounting team who is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, income audit, cash management, payroll processing and internal controls. You will recruit and hire accounting and financial staff and conduct performance evaluations among several other job functions.
Responsibilities
Review the daily list of revenue activity to ensure accountability of activity, adjustments, tax liability, and general ledger coding and posting monthly into the general ledger.
Compile daily, weekly, and quarterly reports.
Verifies the accuracy and timeliness of all finance functions: daily and month end reporting payroll processing, income audit, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash and credit card management.
Ensure that all administrative procedures are in place and functioning effectively.
Ensure compliance with property policies and procedures and all applicable laws.
Ensure that accounting practices adhere to legal requirements and standards, including preparing and filing of tax and license information.

Qualifications
Five years of experience in hotel accounting, preferably in a full-service hotel required.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required.
Must be well-versed in accounting principles.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
