Summary of Job Duties:The Information Systems (ISYS) department at the Sam M. Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas invites applications for the tenure-track position at the level of Associate or Full Professor (based on qualifications) starting in Fall 2026. The faculty member will conduct high-quality research suitable for publication in top-tier journals, assume leadership roles within the department and college, and teach three courses per year (the normal annual teaching load is three courses for all research active faculty). The courses taught could be a mix of graduate (including doctoral) and undergraduate courses, and a mix of face-to-face and online courses, as needed. A successful candidate is expected to contribute to enhancing the reputation and work environment of the ISYS Department and the Walton College.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, with the potential for an endowed professorship; benefits are competitive. Preference will be given to candidates with strong industry experience and publications in leading information systems and Financial Times 50 journals, such as MISQ, ISR, JMIS, and JAIS.
The Information Systems Department:
The department has thirteen tenured or tenure-track faculty members (including four professors who hold positions with endowments and three distinguished professors), in addition to ten teaching/clinical faculty members, seven full-time instructors, and several part-time instructors.
The department is ranked in the top 5 departments in the world in the AIS-8 journals for the last 5-year period (2019-2023). Faculty research interests are diverse and include behavioral research (management, adoption, use, and impacts of technology and digitalization at individual, organizational, or societal levels) and economics-oriented research (financial impacts of IT, usually based on extensive panel data). Additionally, the departmental faculty is - to the best of our knowledge - the only department in the world to include two AIS LEO award winners, a Decision Sciences Institute Lifetime Distinguished Educator, an IEEE Fellow, four AIS Fellows, two recipients of the AIS/SIGMIS doctoral dissertation award, and one recipient of the AIS Early Career Award. Faculty have received numerous other accolades from major professional societies and have held major editorial and leadership positions. The undergraduate program ranked 16th on U.S. News & World Report 2022 "Best Undergraduate Business Programs" in Management Information Systems.
The Information Systems Department has an active research-oriented Ph.D. program, a Master of Information Systems program, Master of Applied Business Analytics program, Master of Healthcare Business Analytics program, Graduate Certificates, and a BSBA major in Information Systems. Our faculty teach courses in enterprise resource planning (ERP), blockchain, database, business analytics, and cybersecurity, and analysis and design.

For this position, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is seeking candidates with expertise in power and energy systems. Areas of expertise may include, but are not limited to, ac and/or dc power systems, smart grid, renewable energy systems, advanced control techniques for power systems with inverter based resources, medium voltage distribution systems, distributed energy resources, and other grid-connected advanced power electronics.

This is a standard nine-month faculty appointment. We seek an outstanding individual specializing in geomorphology and/or Earth surface processes broadly defined. We seek a researcher and teacher who has a well-defined national/international research area with a component anchored to US mid-continent. Teaching duties may include undergraduate and graduate geomorphology courses, natural hazards, an upper-level course in the candidate's area of expertise, and field experiences. The successful candidate will conduct research leading to scholarly publications, integrate research with student mentorship, design graduate and undergraduate courses, and implement new methods of teaching to reflect changes in the field. Additional duties will include serving on various faculty/student-oriented committees, providing service on campus and in related professional organizations, and participating in faculty governance in the department and on campus.

As a high energy, customer-focused instructor, you will conduct private and group dance classes throughout the week. You and your Fred Astaire team will help students to reach their personal dance goals through many different ways - from a single event to a lifelong journey of dance growth. You will have a unique honor to enhance people's lives every day. You will meet and work closely with people from all walks of life which will give you a level of personal enrichment you could never experience in any other environment.
We maintain regular studio hours throughout the week; however, we host many events that take place on some weekday evenings and some weekends as well which you will need and want to attend with your students.

Fred Astaire Dance Studios has something for everyone.
