GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Nursing Lab Faculty Member and Coordinator provides instructional leadership and operational management of the College's Nursing laboratories. This position ensures the effective delivery of nursing laboratory courses, maintains a safe and innovative learning environment, and supports student learning through simulation, lab practice, and technology-enhanced instruction. The position balances teaching responsibilities with coordination duties in alignment with 37.5 hours weekly: teaching and student contact will account for 25.5 hours weekly; lab coordination, administration, and planning will account for 12 hours weekly. This is an in-person position Monday through Friday during the academic year.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Instructional and Faculty Responsibilities (25.5 hours, 70% of workload):

Coordination and Administrative Responsibilities (12 hours, 30% of workload):
* Coordinate day-to-day operations of the nursing labs, ensuring a safe, functional, and effective learning environment.
* Develop semester lab schedules for Nursing in collaboration with the Director.
* Collaborate with Facilities and IT to ensure optimal functioning of lab spaces and simulation technology.
* Train faculty in the use and maintenance of lab and simulation equipment in collaboration with the Director.
* Manage inventory and supplies, including ordering, storage, maintenance, and disposal of materials/equipment for Nursing.
* Recommend and justify budgetary items to support the growth of the Nursing program through new technologies and resources.
* Submit purchase requisitions and prepare required expenditure reports.
* Maintain compliance with Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing regulations and Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) standards.
* Facilitate open lab hours for student practice and coordinate schedules with other nursing faculty.
* Participate in systematic program evaluation and contribute to policy development and implementation of all components of the Nursing Program.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, or eligibility for Massachusetts licensure.
* Master's degree in nursing from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution.
* Demonstrated experience using low-, moderate-, and high-fidelity simulation in nursing education or healthcare.
* Proven skill in integrating high-fidelity simulation into teaching and learning.
* Recent college-level teaching experience in nursing.
* Commitment to support a student-centered, outcome-based approach to education.
* Experience with the integration of technology as well as active and collaborative learning strategies in the teaching-learning process.
* Experience in the assessment of learning outcomes at the course, program, and college levels.

Role:
The Senior Dental Assistant and Training Instructor implements and manages the training program for on-the job Dental Assistant trainees. As a Senior Dental Assistant, also provides chairside assistance to the dentist during treatment of patients and provides functional supervision to the Dental Assistants (DA's) under the guidance of Dental Management team in order to ensure that optimal operations are maintained in the Dental Clinic.
Responsibilities:
Implements and manages training program for on the job Dental Assistant trainees.
Provides direct supervisory guidance and training to the Dental Assistants/DA Externs/Trainees by:
Providing day-to-day functional supervision
Being primarily responsible for providing orientation, training and mentoring
Works with the Administrative Dental Director to develop an experiential training program for Dental Assistants.
Implements training program to effectively train Dental Assistant trainees on the job in all aspects required.
Providers on-going support for the DA training program in all capacities.
Coordinates Dental Assistant (DA) with duties with practice manager or Operations manager including adequate coverage and DA rotation
Delegates and assigns Dental Assistant task lists and monitors for compliance.
Oversees patient flow process to ensure optimal efficiency.
Assists with policy/protocol development and auditing and quality improvement.
Works with site team members at other locations to coordinate adequate coverage between locations.
Works collaboratively with the Dental Team Leader in oversight of the department daily.
Communicates departmental and health center/agency issues to fellow assistants and brings feedback to departmental and other administrative meetings.
Assists in recruitment and performance evaluations of departmental staff.
Reviews dental chart with provider, performs intake on the patient and documents in EDR following established protocols.
Prepares and maintains all clinical areas for patient treatment planned each session.
Performs Chair-side assisting duties in all procedures in accordance with training
Provides guidance and support to Dental Assistants in training as needed.
Implements infection control procedures in compliance with CDC and/or state specific infection control practices, provides training to DA's.
As directed, or in accordance with state law and HHSI protocol, exposes, and duplicates radiographs when necessary.
Enters data and maintains the electronic lab log tracking prosthetic cases, provides training on system to DA's.
Manages equipment maintenance and maintains checklists and logs as required. Provides DA training on equipment maintenance and delegates rotation of tasks to DA's
Prepares all clinical areas for clinic closing.
Manages inventory and ensures that inventory is maintained by following established protocols. Provides training to all DA's in inventory and ordering process.
Provides post op instructions to patients regarding their treatment.
Due to operational necessity, may be required to report to other locations or remain at work to provide coverage.
Requirements:
Current MA Dental Assistant License, Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
Two years of on the job experience as a Dental Assistant
High School Diploma with course work in business, biology and some chemistry
Basic to Intermediate skills in Office 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams, knowledge and experience with Electronic Dental Record
One year of experience training students in a Dental Assistant training program preferred
Basic Skills in Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel & Outlook

Job Description:
Worcester State University is seeking applicants for a Temporary Visiting Professor of Marketing to start Spring 2025. The Department of Business Administration and Economics offers a BSBA with a concentration in Marketing. The Graduate School (evening program) offers an MS in Management with concentration in Marketing. Candidates who can teach in multiple programs (both undergraduate and graduate) are preferred.
Responsibilities: Primary desired instructional areas include Principles of Marketing, Integrated Marketing Communications, Research Methods for Marketing, and Retailing. Experience and research in the areas of marketing communications, marketing research and measurement and analytics are high desirable. Student academic advising and continuing scholarly achievement are included among faculty responsibilities.
