The Machine Learning Engineer II will be a member of the Learning and Active Perception (LEAP) group in AV's MacCready Works division and support the development of a variety of innovative computer vision capabilities (object detection, classification, localization, and tracking) and other image/video analytics for defense and commercial applications. These development efforts require a range of skills and tools across traditional engineering, computer science, and mathematical disciplines including but not limited to data management, computer vision, machine learning, optimization, and deep convolutional neural networks. This position will span multiple stages of the development process including requirements gathering, algorithm design, prototyping, test and evaluation, and validation and verification testing. This specific role also involves on-site support for experimentation and fielded systems requiring a significant amount of extended travel, both domestic and international.
Duties
โข Support development of computer vision and machine learning (ML) algorithms capable of object detection, classifying, localizing, and tracking objects of interest from a variety of stationary and mobile sensor platforms with the primary purpose of real-time automated target recognition (ATR)
โข Perform visual imagery data science to inform data collection, data labeling, and data selection for training deep computer vision ML algorithms, train the algorithms using the data, and validate data selection and algorithm design through a series of purpose-designed experiments. This includes:
o Analyze ML algorithms to solve a given problem and rank them by their success probability on new data
o Set objectives and develop models that help achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress
o Select appropriate datasets and data representations
o Analyze errors of the data, model, and design strategies to overcome them
โข Write and test software to support the integration of machine learning algorithms into aircraft (such as autopilots, payloads, or other functional components) or other systems
โข Other duties as assigned
Experience
โข 2 - 5 years of relevant computer vision experience
โข Familiarity with Python and C/C++ required
โข Proficiency with a deep learning framework, preferably PyTorch
โข Proficiency with basic libraries for machine learning such as, Open-CV, scikit-learn, and pandas

This position will require full-time on-site work. Position will support day staff mission operations script testing work approximately 50% of the time, and shift work (including nights/weekends/holidays) approximately 50% of the time.

Provide mission operations support to classified Satellite programs.

In this job, you will:

Utilizing the Manufacturing Execution System to record the results of characteristics included in Inspection Plans and Work Order operations

+ Reviews Requests for Proposals (RFP) and proposal documents for compliance to customer specifications/requirements and adherence to company policy

Details of Manager responsibilities:
System Engineer Manager
The Systems Engineering Manager 1 will support the Chantilly site programs in developing and managing program activities across various active projects / programs.
The work is unique, challenging and rewarding. Most of all, it is work that makes a difference.
The functional manager will lead a team working within the Chantilly E&S department. The successful candidate will lead direct report employees to accomplish organizational goals, deliver program results, and align with company policies. Functional management responsibilities include staffing support/allocation, performance and compensation management, and career goals development.
Supporting the infrastructure & software life cycle engineering execution to include systems design, development, test/integration, and deployment/sustainment activities.
Accountable to stakeholders and program managers for project status reviews, impediments / roadblock resolution, and the overall engineering / product quality execution.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a **Principal or Senior Principal Network and Communications Field Service Engineer** to our team at **RAAF Base Edinburgh** near **Adelaide, Australia** .
This position will receive daily tasking and prioritization from their site lead. The selected candidate will be responsible for operations and maintenance support of the MQ-4C Triton network and communications systems at a Forward Operating Base (FOB).
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Provide real time support for flight operations and maintenance, addressing any issues related to communications and networking to include fault isolation, remediation, and resolution.
+ Perform field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of communications and data link systems in military flight test environment, including operations on a flightline, in a hangar, and in command-and-control centers.
+ Adherence to checklists and procedures to ensure repeated success and providing redlines to procedures when necessary.
+ Communicate complex technical issues to local support, the Degrader Action Cell (DAC), Main Operation Bases (MOBs), and Responsible Engineers (REs).
+ Support and lead air crew engagement for proper techniques in solving complex analysis of technical problems that arise during operations.
+ Assist with trend analysis as needed for Responsible Engineers (REs).
+ Perform/support review and analysis of supplier design data and definition of functional test requirements including acceptance, qualification, and system integration.
