This technician will be qualified to support our Bell 407 airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients. Responsibilities Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician. Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures. Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company's information security standards. Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew. Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members. Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team. Minimum Required Qualifications Bell 407 maintenance experience Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license Valid State issued Driver's license High School diploma or GED equivalent Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge EMS systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning Must live within an hour of base Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program. Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs. Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. Tools provided. JOB DUTIES: This is a highly responsible technical position requiring a skilled aircraft mechanic who holds a current Airframe and Powerplant License. Certification by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) authorizes maintenance and repair on modern sophisticated aircraft and turbine powered helicopters. Performs maintenance, preventive maintenance, rebuilding and alterations on assigned reciprocating engine aircraft and turbine engine helicopters as prescribed by applicable Federal Aviation Regulations; performs scheduled inspections on assigned aircraft; research files for applicable airworthiness directives and complies with them using computers, microfiche and paper manuals. Completes necessary inspection forms and entries into logbooks and computer records; requests parts to be ordered in a timely manner. Maintains workspace in a safe, neat and orderly manner. Coordinates with the supervisor and pilots in analyzing reported malfunctions of aircraft and assists or performs the necessary repairs or adjustments to these discrepancies. Deploys to field locations as necessary to provide mechanical, fuel and helibase support to deployed aircraft. Performs routine and emergency maintenance and repairs to maintenance facilities and ground support equipment. Assists with building and ground maintenance, administrative tasks, property inventory, etc., as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
