The Transport Aide will greet imaging patients, and safely escort them to proper modality. Employees should be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment. The LPN on Maternal Child Health is responsible for direct patient care to all patients within the Maternal Child Health department. The position will work collaboratively with all department members to implement and evaluate the patient's physical, psychological emotional, educational and spiritual needs under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse. Roles and Responsibilities:
Dispenses medication within scope of practice and accurately documents in patients EMR. Plans for care of patients, demonstrating the ability to effectively prioritize both expected and unanticipated needs. Involves patients and families in establishing care goals
Obtaining data related to patient care and recording accurately in the patients EMR.
Reports abnormal findings or changes in mental and emotional conditions of the patient to the RN. Examples include changes in vital signs, abnormal weight gain or loss, inability to locate a fetal heart rate, increase in pain, etc.
Responds promptly to call bells and patient needs.
Know what surgical procedure is being performed, Follows AORN Guidelines/Hospital P&P for surgical hand scrub, anticipate surgeon's needs, make sure a "time out" has been called before handing scalpel to the surgeon, and maintain a sterile field.
Appropriately stocks all areas of the department, including the OR and does bi-weekly audits of the OR.
Knows how to appropriately perform and document a hearing screen.
Appropriately sets up, cleans (including equipment) and stocks after a delivery and C-section.
Full time night position with weekend and holiday rotation requirements.
