Training will be provided as needed in the areas of flow cytometry and hematology. Work schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (standard business hours) No weekends or holidays, no on-call shifts Responsibilities Process, examine, and test patient samples using a flow cytometer and hematology analyzer, and document test results according to GDP and GMP standards (training is provided!) Perform data analysis of processed samples. Manage Send-out tests, testing supplies, reagents, etc. Check quality control and verify test method ranges for standards and references. Maintain / troubleshoot instrumentation. Rotational weekend work required Pay Rate: $20.00 - $21.10 per hour Overview: The Laboratory Technician supports the Molecular Biology and Fermentation R&D teams by performing daily laboratory support tasks. After training, the technician will work independently to maintain routine lab operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Perform data entry, record keeping, invoicing, test reporting, and other administrative duties. Ability to learn and apply ASTM, AASHTO, ATM, WAQTC, and other laboratory test procedures. Perform testing in the laboratory on soil and construction materials to include modified Proctors, sieve analyses, plasticity index tests, soil classification, and other soil, asphalt, and concrete test processing. Work in the concrete room prepping and performing tests on concrete cylinders, cores, masonry block, and prisms for compressive strength testing. Break cylinders, prisms, and cubes of concrete and masonry. Perform maintenance and calibrations on laboratory and field equipment. Perform calculations of test data under supervision of Lead Lab Technicians and Laboratory Supervisor. Assist Materials Testing Technicians in performing testing, maintenance, and calibrations in the laboratory. Assist with data back-checking and corrections.
