Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Driver based in Pittsburgh to join our logistics team. This role involves transporting construction materials from our warehouse to active job sites, operating both CDL and non-CDL vehicles. Drivers will load and unload cargo, ensure material integrity, and play a critical role in timely and safe job site deliveries. The position offers consistent scheduling, with most weekends spent at home.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CDL and non-CDL trucks for the delivery of construction materials
Safely load and unload materials using proper lifting techniques and equipment
Deliver materials from warehouse facilities to construction sites across the region
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs
Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip sheets, and material checklists
Ensure that materials are properly secured and protected during transport
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, project managers, and jobsite contacts
Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies
Requirements:
Valid CDL (Class A or B) license with a clean driving record
Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience preferred
Ability to operate both CDL and non-CDL vehicles
Experience with loading and unloading construction materials preferred
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in variable weather conditions
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail
Knowledge of regional roadways and construction site delivery procedures
Work Schedule & Travel:
Typical work week is Monday through Friday
Home most weekends
Occasional overnight trips may be required based on project needs

Who You Are:
Successful candidates for the CDL Driver role are motivated and eager to provide a high level of customer service. You are someone with previous driving experience and is familiar with pre and post trip inspections and using online log systems.
What You Will Be Doing:
Current and active Class A or B Driver's license with good driving record
Drives truck to destination.
Distributes receipts for load picked up.
Occasionally collects payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges.
Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
Contacts customers to advise delivery times.
Unload truck.
Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
Skills You Bring:
Must be CDL Licensed, must pass Driver's Testing, and must pass DOT Physical / Drug Testing.
Previous pre/post trip inspections preferred
Delivery driving experience preferred
Proficient in reading and writing English
Capable of working in a physically demanding work environment which includes bending; stretching; pushing, pulling, and lifting a MINIMUM of 75 LBS; and extensive fast-paced walking in all weather conditions throughout the year
Knowledge of basic math, ability to read and write the English language, and map reading skills'

POSITION SCOPE
The Class A Heavy Haul Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting oversize and overweight equipment to the job sites. The drivers will be exposed to different situations and equipment in performing their assigned task and are responsible for maintaining their assigned equipment.

PRIMARY DUTIES
Operates, loads, and unloads oversized and/or overweight parts and equipment to be hauled
Assist with loading and unloading of oversized/overweight equipment and ensure that all loads are properly prepared, loaded, and secured before the vehicle proceeds to avoid shifting, loosening, or falling while enroute; perform a thorough pre- and post-check to inspect the load and truck before and after each stop
Ability to read and review permit for route, special considerations, and safety provisions
Prepare before and stow away after each trip the vehicle, trailer, and all auxiliary equipment such as chains, straps, blocks, and gears
Comply with all DOT, state, and local traffic and highway laws, rules and regulations and safely operate all equipment in compliance with all legal weight and load size limits
Take pictures of questionable machine damage and report immediately
Ensure all items transported are on the manifest are accurate and error free
Performs general maintenance, minor repairs, and regular service on mobile equipment and crushing and screening equipment daily as directed by supervisor
Mechanical and hydraulic trailer experience as well as skills to perform minor maintenance on equipment as required

REQUIREMENTS
21 years of age or older
